RE: UK challenges for NEX5 Oct 2021 09:49
I'm with Ossingh here , he hit the nail on the head with the marketing point , when you have a brand like NEX with the logo plastered everywhere on coach stations , and even the official transport partner for Wembley stadium , airports and the adverts Internet(which is expensive and too costly for a startup company making a loss) thats where you pick up your bookings. Yeah Flix might offer a cheaper service , but the availability for one will be less , and also the reliability. If every coach is contracted with its driver there's going to be issues with loyalty , Flix squeeze the drivers even more and they will be gone elsewhere ( like what happened to many at Uber) for themselves no doubt. Also investors don't hang around for long , especially if Flix are known to be making a loss. With someone like NEX going around poaching contracts (the facts are there) , offering a far superior service considering availability and flexibility I think Flix will be concerned about competing so will stick to there own small routes, where NEX navigate the busiest road networks interlinking cities and major towns. The only reason why NEX has grown to what it is now is because they have proved superior to its smaller competitors.
