Jotom750,
I will wait until after the vote and if the redom is still going ahead, I would email AJ asking about the divis and if they said that it would still be possible to receive divis to my accounts, I'd stay with them as I am holding POLY long term. If more problems occur in the future, I'd sort them then.
Fingers crossed!
As of now, your shares are held electronically through the UK Settlement System, CREST. However, following the redomiciliation and the discontinuation of Polymetal shares on the LSE, shares will be issued in certificated form. It's important to note that we are unable to support electronic shares held on the AIX.
At present, our position remains that we will continue to maintain custody of the certificated holding after the re-domiciliation takes place. The AIX is recognised by HMRC as a qualifying ISA market, so the shares will still remain eligible to be held in an ISA after the LSE delisting. The shares will also remain eligible to remain within a SIPP.
Prior to the redomicile taking effect, you have the following options:
· You may request to convert your holding to certificated form to be held directly in your own name - This request must be submitted by the 30th of June 2023.
· You may sell your shares prior to the trading suspension date - 14 July 2023.
· You may transfer your holding to another broker which supports trading on the AIX - This request must be submitted by the 30th of June 2023.
· You may retain your shares in your account and receive certificated holding under our nominee name that cannot be traded electronically.
Just got an email back from them;
'
At this stage I can’t confirm whether you will be able to withdraw the certificates once the company has redomiciled and is only listed on AIX. We are waiting for information on how the move will work in practice, however it is very rare that we are able to withdraw share certificates for securities only listed on foreign stock exchanges. As we receive more information on the redomiciling process we will provide it to all holders of POLY via the corporate actions page.'
Jotom750,
Thank you for sharing that info
Being able to receive the divis in the meantime before the split is great news, the only thing is that if we need to sell them in the future, what would we need to do?
Once I have received their answer and more info, I will gladly share them here.
Good luck & fingers crossed!
MagicMoneyTree,
I am planning to hold the shares long term and want to collect the dividend only in my ISAs, but if POLY will split in the future, we need to have a backup plan.
Once I have received the answer back from AJ; I will ask them more and post the reply here, fingers crossed!
Jotom750,
Are you with AJ Bell too?
If AJ would let me keep my POLY shares in the meantime (until before the split) for dividends and they would issue the paper certificates in the future (when I want to sell them), I would probably do that. I am still waiting for their email and will let you know
I'm not entirely sure yet but I have emailed them back asking for more info, fingers crossed.
But if I could still hold them for dividends, what about when I want to sell them in the future???
3 ISA accounts
- ISA
- Lifetime ISA
- Junior ISA for my daughter
I emailed AJ Bell yesterday and this is their reply;
Unfortunately we do not trade the AIX exchange so we will not be able to place trades for POLY once it relists in Kazakhstan. In the meantime you are still able to place sales (provided the market condition are right) or you can continue to hold the shares once they have listed on AIX.
I have then emailed them back saying that I'd still like to keep holding the shares and if they would issue any certificates instead or what's next???
I have just bought on AJ Bell 3 times (for 3 accounts) this morning
I can buy POLY on AJ Bell this morning
It depends on how much you think it should worth. If you think the price will keep rising, I don't think you have missed the boat :)
I bought in at 2.45p and the price kept dropping until now, so I'm unsure if I should keep or sell while the price is on the up
Either way, good luck with your division :)
