It’s possible that Proventure fully intend to settle the funds but that they’re having trouble setting their individual investors incoming cash. The problem is that we just don’t know and we have to rely on the due diligence done by the company that we invested in. Hopefully it’s not all smoke and mirrors but of course, it’s also possible.

Not necessarily ‘gullible’. Investing anywhere is a risk and this is a classic example. Not much to hold onto but tremendous upside if it comes good. It will or it won’t and obviously there are a lot of burned and perhaps bitter investors throwing shade. Maybe I will be in the future but I hope to give balanced opinion to help others.

Just as a point of order, this is a factually incorrect statement. Rampers and derampers are everywhere and we all see it.

As with any investment, It’s a calculated risk. We all know it and we all risk what we can afford to lose (surely?). The negativity and trolling don’t serve a purpose IMHO.

I understand that there is a lot of negativity towards the bosses here but that’s normal. Especially with the track record, but let’s see. DYO risk analysis.

Agreed. It is a big gamble but for me the business case is quite positive. If this relentless kicking of the can down the road is just a bluff/market manipulation, my faith in humanity will take another knock. I’m still in and I am so based on losing my investment will not be devastating.

Be careful out there and try to ignore both the rampers and the de-rampers. Especially when there is no source or balance.

Just to be clear, the last RNS regarding this matter says the balance (now to include the interim amount is “expected by around 30 November 2023.”. So could apparently also be early December.

I hope we see investment soon. It’s getting rather tiresome. :-/

Presumably communicated as inside information but rather a description of what the RNS update laid out. Namely that investment is agreed but (so far) not funded.

Well, so long as it’s international banking delays and not ‘international we don’t have the money’ delays it should only be a matter of days.

The delays can only be AML related or similar surely? Otherwise it becomes a funding delay and that’s an altogether different problem!

Was it missed? Should we get an RNS either way?

Assuming the investment settles as promised, does anyone have any long term predictions on the success of this company? Energy demand is only going to increase…and quite quickly I would imagine.

Is the company ambitious or looking to make a quick buck, perhaps sell to an energy giant? I’m interested to hear thoughts.

Most likely because of switching investments I would think. Same as we, presumably, all do? Decide an exit point when the funds can be made available for a new investment? Just my opinion.

Difficult to say. It seems feasible, however, I have no idea what legal clauses Siera presumably have in place regarding that side of things. No doubt the 'tragic road accident' slowed this whole process down. Let's hope for a positive resolution in the near future. I presume MED incorporated a robust contingency plan.

A binding agreement is signed. Just waiting for completion, which effectively means they've failed to pony up the dosh (on time).

I compare it to buying shares. They agreed to buy the shares but failed to pay on settlement date, effectively leaving the deal incomplete and MED hanging...

I would imagine the next step (but when exactly?) will be for MED to take legal action on a reneged deal and look for alternative investment?
