Indeed. France went fully independent on nuclear weapons but the UK’s rely heavily on the US for supply and maintenance. Hence the ‘special relationship’ being vocalised in times of trouble (I assume 😅).

Defence sector is down for a variety of reasons but mostly because Trump has announced that he's about to 'solve' another war. He won't (IMHO) but the market (over)reacts to such things. ALRT is an easy target because so far there is no business here. It's a volatile investment right now. Buyer beware!

For transparency, I'm currently not holding...but still hopeful this business will succeed. I will buy on positive news.

Thanks for your concern. I set the stop because I really wasn't feeling like taking a loss on this one and although I'm reasonably bullish on the company prospects, I'd prefer to monitor a while and potentially jump back in at an appropriate level.

I'm not sure we're at the bottom just yet. However, I do wish all holders well and I hope this company (and UK sovereign defence) succeed!

Yes, most of the grown ups on the board are well aware this is a highly speculative buy/hold. Sadly, some naysayers feel the need to throw shade, presumably for attention.

Mostly these are ignored if they arrive without solid, rational opinions.

I don’t see anywhere stating the ATM process is over. The RNS merely an update.

Less than £500k. Likely four months working capital at this point (so far)? Here’s hoping some tangible revenue follows tour de suite.

It’s not just down to warrants. I think it’s important to keep in mind that this company is very much a startup. It currently has no tangible products and is loss making.

It’s moving on sentiment and speculation. DYOR.

It’s a medium to long term hold IMO. Micro-analysis on hourly/daily/weekly price moves is relatively meaningless.

Most likely, yes. Brokers have rules based on liquidity and volatility and if the stock falls outside that framework you will not be able to deal.

But why? The numbers don’t add up.

The aforementioned RNS states…

“Following these transactions, Eben Upton and Richard Boult retain a shareholding of 2,501,136 and 475,602 Ordinary Shares respectively.”

This stock rallies on positive news and drops back on profit taking as it’s still very risky. The market remembers, very well, previous JV fiascos and until tangible returns are seen, this remains a risky investment.

Day-traders and shorters amplify the peaks. All IMHO & DYOR. But good luck to all, including the trolls and the rampers and the de-rampers. But especially the balanced posters. ;-)

for what it’s worth, i’ve always taken david.m’s posts as realistic and balanced. this is mighty refreshing for me as there are plenty of posters on this website that are either far too ‘married’ to a stock or just shamelessly ramping them. equally there are a similar number of posters **** talking stocks.

i highly appreciate balanced analysis and those who have been invested here for a while are well aware of the struggle here. the jv fiasco(s) and lack of information from management do not inspire confidence. however, i remain optimistic about this business so long as it’s competently managed…and so far, that part is very much still in question.

i’m cautiously optimistic and invested since 5.74p (if i recall).

Still hoping the management learned from the previous JV fiasco. Would love some news on recouping that cash. Is it written off or perhaps finding its way to lawyers?

Not necessarily negative but most likely means they’re hedging to mitigate risk of short selling via CFD for their clients. It can be detrimental to the share price if they’re slowly acquiring shares and subsequently selling off over a short timeframe. Especially for illiquid stocks. DYOR.
