RE: Gold Juniors 20255 Jan 2025 14:48
Re. 06:13: Banbury you are assuming a person bought in late january 2023 and just sat on it till now. As a matter of fact someone could have bought in late january 2023 (after the broker report you referred to) and sold in late feburay 2023 at a tangible (around about 20%) profit on the shares bought a month earlier, this was checked from rhe wrapper in which I have always maintained a position in RRR after initial buy.
Someone could have bought in the summer of 2023 - two buys similar number of shares fractional difference in price and sold in the winter of 2023 at a sell price exactly between the two buy prices, pretty much breaking even, and as for me that was not about the lithium, I was exiting the only gold stock in that wrapper for RRR, completely exited RRR in that wrapper in winter of 2023; buying back in, spring of 2024. As for the gold stock I exited - it got bought by a private company last year and would have given me around about a 50% gain, no regrets though, people make their decisions related to their reasoning and circumstances, RRR is a more diverse in its assets than the other one and has some good assets in my opinion, not saying it is better but perhaps the one I exited and this one: both good qualities.
Basically though 2023 for RRR iwouldn't have automatically resulted in massive loss, if someone didn't just buy late january and sat on it. Averaging down in later larger tranches of buys including 2024 - also in that situation not massive loss.
Respect for waiting tactic, referred to yesterday, respect mobile tactics referred to today and people always have to decide with regard to their own circumstances and ultimately their own perspective. Potentially the circumstances of RRR will be updated soon so 2025 and beyond could be different to '23/24.
