SMS holds all the cards, with him holding a golden share. No one will pick S4 Capital up on the cheap, Stagwell already tried with $700m & more recently MSQ Partners. SMS said last year that he's not against doing a deal, but in his words only at the right valuation. He was then asked for his valuation, he said between 10X to 20X EBITDA, minus Net Debt. I don't see anyone willing to pay this valuation at this moment in time.

I fully agree. SMS and other owners will see 110p per share as a low-ball bid, considering the share price highs of 830p.

The latest analysts FCF forecasts for 2026 are to drop to £29.9m, while I disagree, I think S4 will do better than that estimate.

I had an interesting conversation with an S4 director 12 months ago, I won't disclose who, but I asked out of all the new business wins of 2024 who if any had potential to become a new whopper client, their response was that there was potential for others to become whoppers over time, SC Johnson is the biggest opportunity in that respect.

In my experience of investing of over 40 years, rightly or wrongly, the long-term investor will beat the short-term trader hands down. While the trader will make many successful trades, playing the trend, whilever the share price is trading in a trading range. Once the trend is broken to the upside the trader is already out of his trade with usually his/her small percentage gain. In WildTigers case thanking buyers for relieving him of his shareholding. If the trader isn't prepared to purches his trade back at a high price than he sold at he runs the risk of missing out big time. In the case of S4 Capital the share price more than doubled in such a short space of time. This is why I became a long-term investor and not a shart-term trader. Each to their own, I learned the hard way, the voice of experience.

If memory serves me correctly, it was lse2000 who predicted a S4 share price target of 6p.

It very much looks like he may well have done the honourable thing and done walk of shame, hopefully never to be seen again on this discussion board. Unless he wants to sit in the corner with a large hat with a capital D on his head. Now that I would pay good money to see. Lol

I recall lse2000 in his attempt to ridicule 1msn with his large S4 shareholding of 8 million shares, apparently with an average price of 22p, when the share price was at or near the lows of 16p. Well who's laughing now lse2000? You have to laugh.

1msn, I would agree. My target price is 200p provided things play out as I hope they do, I will then reassess. I think that this is a realistic target all things considered.

I agree with your take on things. If management can get things right then we stand to gain substantially. When the shift arrives (and it will, just don't know when) from outdated billable hours, to subscription models at scale. If we take SMS at his word then S4 is ahead of all the rest. So I'm hopeful that S4 will be big winners, S4 is positioned for where the industry is going IMHO.
