The MMs did drop it to 5.50/5.75 on opening. Perhaps some investors were waiting for it to go ex-div before investing?
Loads of buys going through.....
If this trading update is as we anticipate and the dividend rate looks set to continue then i agree with that 40p target. I would also presume that Derrick Woolf knows a little more about the company than TW.
Any mention of when they expect to release this trading update?
Thanks
Thanks for that Dicko. Please can you post the link with Derek Wolf's comments please?
What are people expecting subject to continued trading as per the last update? 0.75p interim? The devaluation of the yuan should help wage costs but they would have forward sold in $s for at least exports... That should help, shouldn't it? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I would expect we are due an announcement early next week that the update will be in a week or so. We know it's going to be down year on year as they cut the margin and the market in china was pretty gloomy until last week. However sub at 10p (or sub 20/30p for that matter), profitability and any glimmer of hope should filter through to a decent return at these levels. That said, I thought the valuation was ludicrous when it hit 20p.... So fingers crossed! Crazy, how the comments from a single journalist can desecrate a valuation of a company that seems to have done nothing but exactly what 'it says on the bottle'.
Very jealous of all you people who bought below 10p!
Ta for checking
Rns on Jiasen? What does it say please?
Agree in principal but can't find that point in the listing agreement, where is it? From what I've read of BVI law, if they want to buy us small shareholders out, then we have to get 'fair value'.... In which case I agree with the 82p....since that was considered fair value when they listed.
Thanks Aclay
I would like know why too. Was the footwear manufacturer in the same situation? Making a profit and there was proof of its existence, factories etc? I don't see why it would be delisted from the aim, but worst case scenario, if that happened, they'd still have to send all shareholders the dividends each year if they want to pay the directors dividends, wouldn't they?
And there is a load more info, current news and photos if you keep the language in Chinese
Check out jiasen.net .... I couldn't open this before as I was using an iPad....it opens on a PC, even if half the flash doesn't work. Check out the news section for photos of the staff/factory. Looking at 2012-6-15, I'm guessing that is B&Q visiting them, but don't quote me. Anyone still trying to convince me this company doesn't exist? These photos are fake, are they....and they had the foresight to do that in 2012 did they? It's looking fine to me....
Searching the web trying to convince myself of this company's legitimacy...... Stumbled upon this link http://jiasendoor.en.made-in-china.com/company-Quanzhou-Jiasen-Wood-Co-Ltd-.html not a lot of info here but I did notice the joining date as 2008 and the last log-in date of 2011. It does seem to suggest they are doing something in the region of what they say they are or at least they have been doing? Agree? Those who are suggesting it is a scam.. In what way are you suggesting? If you are suggesting they've cooked their numbers, how bad can it really be?
Current trading statement taken into account, what are we expecting the dividend payable June 2016? 2.5p? As as the directors are the biggest shareholders the dividend must be really important to them at least in terms of maintaining their income levels...
Annual Report said Jeff Teo (a non exec director) had 2% of the shares (2.4m). He stepped down in May from what I can see. Could be him selling, no? I must have watched about 2.4m shares go though as sells in the last few weeks. If it is him, it would sort of make sense that he's left a company and wants his money out to do other things with wouldn't it?
