(Plenty of it makes sense to me... but again, a key metals supercycle is MUCH more likely than an Oil &Gas super cycle imho...and again that's not to say that we can't continue a this nice bull run in O&G for good while yet... But I see Save.l Nigerian gas business as a 'Special Situation' whatever .. far more so than their Niger Oil business)

I've held some of these for many years now and traded a bit in them too.. I only look in on this bulletin board occassionally and far more in hope than expectation .. and the 2.50 ish whatever placing price being the Take over floor is so well used that it makes me laugh .. I'd take 100p and run !!!

..but hope spring eternal .. and now that Brent is strong again, here's hoping that something even remotely meaningfully good happens at last soon... as this has been an utter dog - with fleas - for such a long time now !

and by the early afternoon - yesterday- the price had dropped to 7.8 and then to 7.6 .. which leads me to still think it could easily be a sell ..( and still guess it is more likely a sell than buy )

whatever, the volume here is great which is generally always very useful on a scheme of things.. (but there are generally still obviously lots of chunky sells going through too ...else the s/p would be much higher ?)

the 1.2m 2 hours before that - both approx - at 8.2p seems defo. a buy Ben 'Owell .. so my guess is that 2.5m could easily be a sell.. indeed is more likely to be a sell than buy imho..

There's a closing auction at the end of the day imbtfol.. and the price that came out of that todoay was 7.3p .. as in an uncross trade - UT - that represents the average price within that auction ( or something along those lines ) ..The 7.5 and 7.8 were the last prices ahead of that auction. The auction is automated.. any such thing as attempted manipulation would be in the buys and sells that are submitted into the auction I guess.. but there's huge randomness in anything around that in my mind.. it could of course be as simple as decently more sell volume than buy volume were submited into that auction..(happy to stand corrected on any/all of this as far from sure)

Nigeria Marginal fields, from my previous experience, can very often be medium term developmets and often very double edged sword in nature.. so I'm not that caring about 'progress' in those, in truth.

Generally, I understand that patience should be fairly well rewarded here but making progress in African coutries - in any/every which ways - is a lot slower/harder as a rule than many people care to understand (I'm big in save.l and have dappled in Lekoil, VOG and a few African O&G plays previously, so have some experience in the space)

Art trader seems to have a good handle on the 'art of the possible' here in 2021 .. and while i'm always somewhat cautious about his lack of balance, given the figures - he/they - quoted my guess is if he's being too bullish in his today predictions it will only be a bit too bullish.

Whatever , very little time to wait for a further clearer picture anyway.. including any fine that may/may not be levied :

Altogether, my instinct now is that this s/p will be somewhat decently north of 110p by early May ..and May ain't far away !

wow indeed . and- pleasantly - i'm shocked by that.. and even more shocked that i got to buy a nice tranche at 92 p this morning ..
great news !! and I expect this to be back over 100p very soon... obviously revised guidance the key driver too..

...without it this would go plenty lower again I'd guess.. and even with it, this holding onto the 80's p is a good ways from very likely in my mind now...

(I previously said early 80's p was possible here ...but that was before they announced the share buyback scheme.. with that I wouldnt have expected as low as early 80's p, in truth - hence why I topped up higher when the announced buyback scheme - and there were others here thinking I was too bearhish in my views.. ahem.. so not as wrong as them might easily be my only defence in the end ...pyrrhic and still ouch)

Towards - kinda - finishing on a positive : any buying I might do under 86p will be bringing down my overall average price at least :-) (that's not to say I'll be quick to add more around now though)

That's good to hear Melanzne.. Because Ed does hang around :-) ...But not on the newswires shouting out the progress now and soon to come too here.... I had a look there on sharetalk just now to see if he was interviewing off the this very good El Remeral news but didn't see anything... has anyone seen him interview elsewhere this week? Ed needs to get out of bed?! :-)
