If /when this deal completes I expect you're right that another similar will follow soon enough.. the strategy has been outlined long ago and they're trying to, step by step in a well timed fashion, execute on the strategy they've peviously set out.. AK is good like that , in fairmess.. but getting things done in Africa in what the western world defiines as 'timely' is a nightmare as a rule , alas

PS: In case of any confusion, while I was lukewam on such deals ahead of this one being announced as in train towards completion, now it's this far in train I'm absolutely all for it completeing asap .. as for it not to complete would be perceived by the market as a set back, I'd guess.

Thanks Agadem. Perhaps the best Interviews i've heard AK give.... the future here is exciting in Nigeria and Niger.. and further afield too, potentially eg Chad ( Again. imho Nigeria is such a cash cow now and going forward .. and the jewel in the crown, whatever)

This Exxon Chad deal may well still complele in the end, but from a very high probability in my mind a few months ago I'd now give it a medium to high probability of completing... and heading towads medium as opposed to high now too.

The workers rebelliousness is a clear issue, but at least equally importantly the Chadian authorities may well rather Exxon stay than little young Save.l takeover, is my reading of it... and if you don't have givernment agencies fully on side smartly, thing can drag along for seemingly ever, to the extent that Savannah just walk away from the deal. Also Exxon's appetite for selling at a price that was likely broadly agreed quite a while ago, against a current meaningfully stronger poo&g backdrop - and looking like continuing to be strong for some time yet - has got to be dimished somewhat at least. Put those three factors together to see why the probability of successful deal completion has diminished meaningfuly in my mind now.

and i'd go as far as saying ppc has been saved many times over many years since that Paraguay drilling gross misconduct by Napoleon (in a different ownership situation he'd have been fired and sued for that.. or never allowed bet that much in it in first place.. imho) .. by PL's own very deep pockets, and fellow PI shareholders very deep pcokets, and II's the last of who has been Trafigura ... and as you allude to a few timely decent rallies in Poo&g - mostly short lived alas - since 2015 ish shale vrs Middle East oil price - war - melt down ..

Gas prices flying has got to be very helpful to some agreement being reached for progressing this program... and Bowleven getting next stage chunky payment

So to me not only does this remain a very interesting bet but it has gotten much more interesting again in recent months.. and I'm surprised this s/p has not rallied in that time .. it's waking up a bit today, perhaps.. but from a very low level indeed ...
Still a pretty binary bet granted .. but, as an optimist here, I note that on the right news dropping this s/p could of course rocket..

I wish I had 100 gbp for every time I read such a statement on BB's in five ish years I've been involved here .. that would be equiv to a one or two bagger mid sized bet in itself :-)

Mostly a game of chance, so you could even be right this time comeonvog.. Paraguay sign off and Atome give you more a chance of being right this time round granted ..
...But to me 2021 in Argentina and Louisana is now close to nailed on being a bad towards very bad operational year for PPC .. somewhat saved by a strong rally in Poo&g, very thankfully..

(and I include upcoming 21 y/e oil drills in that, whatever their outcomes....as imho, the size of the success rate oil production alongside some risks of failures doesn't make the costs of the drills versus the potential returns a strong play in the first place..)

if there is an II holder - or over 3% PI holder - selling down then agreed that the BOD and house broker should try everything in their power to find an off market matching size buyer at an agreeable to both sides price and/or find size on market buyers..

.. there may well be such an ongoing background on market seller but we're not sure of that yet....

(generally, semi decent selling often begets further selling.. so for eg a few size pi's dumping from 30p to 27 p ish might beget another few size Pi's dumping from 27p to 24 p ...etc.. .. and that could still be the cause of the recent altogether large fall.. maybe .. but my gut instinct is that that there is an over 3% holder selling ongoingly in background for many weeks now )

Impressive - and a nice CEO Bill H contextual commentary included which shows they're at least listening a little to our suggestions - and reiterates to me that A LOT more than 2m ounces of gold will be found here into the future....

We 'just' need good buying to kick in here over a period of time to clear out any remaining - very - low ball selling.. and effect a reset from bearish to bullish s/p tone .. this is easier said than done granted as buyers generally tend to 'wait for ongoing seller(s) to clear' .. which protracts the decline process duration further again and drives the s/p lower again.. as we've seen here in recent times.. etc and oh well..

On a medium term view this remains a strong buy to me .. short term, in context of the excellent gold - and other metal resources - here, this recent s/p decline has already been a plane crashing into a train type event... so I'm guessing - aka hoping - off the back of this strong update and MRE/PEA soon to come this s/p can turn meaningfully around soon enough here....

(note no actual s/p number predictions from me this time.. as promised, after embarassing myself to that end for months here now :-) )

Instead of voting whatever way in the EGM I've decided to sell out completely here.

I've been in this for years and it has generally been a farce, a farce has even grown more farcical recently.. and whatever way this GM vote goes I can see a farce of some shape or form continuing for at least a medium time to come here still...

Altogether, there are now many other O&G stocks on AIM that I would rather bet on over this.. not least as, imho, the s/p has rallied hard here for at least some non bottom line reasons thru this board challenge process.. an altogether rise that has given me an opportunity to exit what was a car crash bet for me for a long time in an overall profit position: Thanks You

(the only way i'd consider getting back in is if the s/p goes back under 2p.. and that likely as a range trading bet more than a long term investment.. it may well not go so low again.. and hopefully for the rest of the long suffering here this s/p roars on again from here in the future.. good luck to all with this 'bet' )

Fine post by you ! ...and generally, I feel we're kinda thinking along the same lines on the selling here.. some Pi's posted here to say say they dumped fairly chunky amounts recently granted .. but in around 26p and lower too regions I think.. I also guess there could easily be an underlying larger holder seller for weeks now too.. not least as you say some half decent buying has kicked in at 22 odd p recently .. and that too has been undone now..

(a real shocker to and for me, this bet.. but you don't realise a loss or gain until you sell.. and I haven't sold any ...
and it's all gambling where anything can happen... I have lots of other bets in play too.. and it's about the overall p/f .. but even if /when this eventually turns around I'd still consider it up there with my worst call in quite a while in the game)

seller(s) still about clearly.. may well be a few pi's with a few hundred thousand share holding dumping one after the other granted.... but I absolutely still don't rule out a larger holder selling down by gentle increment in the background too ..and if an over 3% holder, they wouldn't declare until their full current instruction has been completed by their broker, as I understand it anyway ..

While still early in this overall assay feedback exercise granted, I'm feeling, that overall, the strong side of solid is decently more likely than the weak side of solid - results - across this whole exercise now.. and for that alone I'm somewhat surprised that this s/p isn't moving on up towards 5p this morning.. oh well.. and somewhat more than very surprising, alas... as the history of XTR/CB will breath caution for many as a rule..

In terms of getting this s/p moving back to 7p ish plus: Fair Bride 'ard gold later this year, along side ongoing solid aus assay results surely has a big chance of making a big s/p difference... add eureka on top of that too and there's got to be a real chance of such s/p upticks in q4 imho..

(cavaet : hoping FB 'ard comes in - to latest - 'on time' and it's not a case of smaller revenue there to start with and then x months to get to full forecast monthly revenue.... rainy season or whatever.. etc.. annoying to plenty I add that cavaet, I understand...but history - absolutely - dictates I do, alas)

CB being small, medium or lot out in his forcast timeframes of almost everything to do with xtract over many years is why this s/p is 4.5p as I type instead of maybe even the double that it could now not unreasonably be .. at least he has been very consistent , in fairness. :-)

Eventually , delivery in whatever assay result, revenue generation or resource prove out.. etc ..he forecasts will come...and the s/p will rerate accordingly, hopefully

ps: my guess is these assay results will altogether - and as per previous imho - be solid instead of strong.. but hopefully the strong side of solid instead of weak side :-) (....as every little helps in a large scale open pit mining model.. )

I had been waiting for 6p ish for my final 1k gbp top up here.. but was very happy to do at 6.8p instead today.. and I hopefully now will never see 6p here !
( but it's betting and anything can of course happen..however nice to savour Atlas finishing their trail of destruction here ..and may the force stay with us 'Wreslers' for a long time to come now , very please :-) )
