'We (including Cavendish) have been told that there is an expectation of BE FY25 on the back of a growing CMOS market of which we provide the enabling technology. They require (according to Edison) £8m in sales from products and services at 70% margin. They are working to improve production efficiencies to increase margin. There are new contract terms being negotiated for production both presumably with a view to achieve the FY25 goal.

Personally I don’t believe they have to do it as quickly as possible. They started immediately at the corporate action and there was plenty of commentary about how it artificially held the price up. So perhaps they have simply paused and are using their own analysis of trading patterns without their influence to predict what might happen if they wait longer or restart. All absent of news. I’m personally pretty apathetic about it but I don’t believe it will drop to 12p. If it does I’ll be lowering my average in anticipation of developments in future.

There are risks of course that I’m wrong about the company, its management and the possible success of STM’s sensors but if I’m right I’ll look forward to serving up some pie in a box!

In the meantime I’ll leave the rest of you to talk it down.

I’m responding because you asked me about my mental health obliquely and now you’re doing the same about someone else’s……if you think your behaviour is right and my defending that is wrong I think that says something.

Some people can accept what they might have said before in the middle of similar conversations was inappropriate and I’ve apologised more than once for it. There’s really no point in social media tiffs with people you could meet in person and get on with really well over simple differences of opinion.

For what it’s worth I’m not precious about BT and I’m watching what happens in the next year or so carefully but just because I don’t agree that what’s happened before and think it was some sort of heinous mis justice doesn’t make me some sort of sycophantic either.

The sooner you can just be pragmatic about different aspects and opinions the better. Maybe it’s time (again) to reflect on your own behaviours.

There's a risk that the tech isn't adopted for one. Given the scrutiny on here is it any surprise the company isn't giving the guidance you crave so much...miss revenue by a cent and you'll be calling for their heads!

I agree with Kooba that there isn't a commercial product on sale yet and OEM's are still sampling the sensor and that could take months hence the lag. Imagine the implications of adding the new sensor capability to for example an iphone....assuming the product performed as required it would need integrated into the design of the front screen, potential removal of the notch/dynamic island and that's before considering the software changes and OS. Not a quick process.

Unfortunately we just have to wait for the gradual increase in demand from ST.

Part of the reason for the division on this board. The expectation of time. Of course some will deny being impatient but when the company tells you they’re expecting a gradual increase in demand over a 2 year period and already 5 months into FY24 they are being tacitly questioned on not delivering it seems a little bit too early.

I simply have more patience and lack the need to scrutinise the minutiae. Maybe that’s a failing, maybe it’s a failing on others expecting them to deliver sooner on guidance ?! 🤷🏼‍♂️
