With a national lock down that did not get rid of the virus only reduce it at the time. It has shown us it is not going away, so again, local lock downs will only reduce the numbers of infections at the time and when those area come out of lock down then infections will increase. Protect the vulnerable and have strict measures to protect them, but the rest should be allowed to get on with the lives with respect for others and continue the social measures already advised.
All those students who have tested positive, walking around with no issues, so unless the testing is there for everyone to access it will always be amongst us, but most of us with no underlying issues will on evidence be fine. More people will now start to die with flu as we go in to winter and more are dying because of urgent health issues that are not being addressed because of Covid.
