The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Hi Hounddog. Couple of points. I maybe wrong but I'm sure I've read somewhere a competitive offer has to be at least 10% higher?
Secondly, given Patel is a board member, Saturn has had access to an unlimited amount of information for years. Not sure how all that info could be passed on to any other interested party.
Sadly, the scandalous behaviour of Eric, the BOD and Liberum over the last few weeks (potentially months) has rendered any post offer RNS pretty worthless. How can anyone possibly trust anything they say now? Thought SHG were different to the stereotypical AIM outfit. Big mistake. Be interesting to see how they play down the Q4 update. Are they obliged to publish one?
A pity about the delay but the whole idea of the pilot plants is to optimise the process, which they have achieved whilst also reducing opex and capex. Time to crack on now
For someone who appears to live their lives in the sole pursuit of googling anything negative regarding rare earths, especially RBW, I am surprised you don't have the commonsense to actually look on RBW's website for some answers to ridiculous questions you ask
We shall see once we are updated on the pilot plant, hopefully soon. Your post implied this is a company in commercial production, it isn't. It would appear to have been a scientific project. Plus, for someone like you who normally demands all manner of evidential data, to at least 50 decimal points, it is very scant on detail.
Is Persistent Pedro using morse code or something? Why all the bloody dots? Perhaps he gets paid by the character? Filtered
I would have expected such a highly experienced and respected mining analyst when faced, by his own admission, a lack of relevant data and information, to say he couldn't come to a worthwhile opinion. I do NOT expect such a luminary to come to some half @rsed conclusion such as.. 'No wonder Centamin does not consider Shanta. Centamin should not waste their time on small projects when they have bigger ones to consider' which surprisingly comes immediately after admitting he was 'clueless' regarding the technical parameters of Kenya.
A conclusion which led to our new friend Tibbles to pronounce, based on his mates cursory opinion he would apply a barge pole to the idea! I know where I would like to shove that barge pole!

Surprised the tweet of Zurrin's presentation is getting such an easy ride in terms of comments - only 6?

Well they've got 170 million going begging now!
This is new territory for me and as such would dearly like a definitive idiot's guide on how to cast my NO vote please
Patel added: "As part of ETC Holdings, Shanta will benefit from the experience and connections of ETC Holdings and ETG in East Africa and as a result, have additional support during the currently heightened levels of macro-instability."
Aren't the experience and connections he talks of exactly the reason he's on the bloody BOD in the first place? Is it not part of what I imagine is a lucrative position (certainly is now) for him to provide this as a director for God's sake.
The whole episode stinks to high heaven and makes no sense at all. I really thought SHG were different. Looks like I was wrong. Dodgy doesn't even come close to describe this BS. A bloody disgrace.
It's a big, fat NO from me
