So, using our Santos deal as a metric, we should achieve around 69p/s for our 70m P2 reserves alone.

As the Santos deal was only yesterday in terms of value attributable to OPHR, I see no reason why this should not be the minimum our board should look at in the first instance.

Remember, Santos wanted the cash to pay down their massive debt pile, so we should achieve significantly more than 69p imo, at 80p/s I think the II would vote for without a doubt.

We are not in a fire-sale scenario here, far from it.

Once again, Medco outperformed its sector today finishing up +2.08%.

0.71CAD +0.06 +9.23%

Could tie in well with EoY business for the fund mgr to get some profit added to their accounts, in that case they would vote for a t/o even if its not the best price. Hence why the first announced deal needs to be a good one, just in case we don't see any other bidders.

Taking a large slug is NOT their MO imo, hence no interest.

Small bites but lots of them, various combination of BOTS buys and sells to maintain the low SP whilst acquiring more stock day on day.

If you want to sell into this market, wouldn't you let the SP take its natural course and rise , feeding the rise slowly ?

Standard practice as per takeover panel rules for any company that has an approach. Holders have 10 working days in which the must notify the market AND any subsequent change there after.

What is does is give a real-time notification of ALL holders above 1%.

Also it flushes out holders that would usually remain hidden until 3% is reached.

I will also probably force shorts to close before they notify, no one likes to be see as a looser in t/o scenarios.

It also can give a heads up in case of hostile approach.

Waiting on some big un's still, Hotchkis / Capotal / Azvalor etc

It's point 3 that got me hooked many months ago, all other points fall into place nicely.

The issue I have after watching yesterdays trading, is, imo Medco are still picking up shares, so hostile is still on the cards. I think the board are aware of this and forced Medco to break cover with our RNS ON 31/12 (is proactively evaluating the options available to the Company to maximise value for shareholders for the rest of the portfolio) One point that jumped out at me, other than that line, was the fact this was released outside of 'normal' material licence information RNS, at 10:16, not 7am..... why ?

If I'm correct we will not see an offer for a few weeks, or until the SP has been sufficiently managed to acquire enough shares.
