UK car consume a tiny, tiny, tiny percentage of global hydrocarbons .... that 'loss' would be more than taken up multiple times over with African / Asian consumers and growing world population. The real question is dwindling reserves worldwide and lower production vs demand will ensure POO will be high for years to come imo
Plastics use will continue to grow too and not forgetting that plastics can only be recycled 2 or 3 times before its integrity is reduced.
