No chance of making good profits if you are not making anything to sell in the 1st place, and as always people like you show you are completely ignorant on local or industry knowledge

Also, the word is Miychelmore has really upset the Rodickton locals, his home town by AEG going for Hawkes Bay. He is not a popular chappy at all at the moment.
I caught up with my contacts in Ukraine yesterday, and not surprisingly AEG came up in the conversation, no surprises and as they said we told you what would happen, and it was true. This is nothing new from what I told everyone nearly 18 months ago, so nothing to get excited about, but seems the pellet industry is not flavour of the month anymore, the wise money has got out..
Did I miss something, what rising SP?
There is nothing I like more than destroying a scam artist, and today was a good day, and one scam artist totally busted. Normally only the greedy, desperate or stupid get scammed and I dont have much sympathy for those who are warned and yet still fall for it. Not that I am saying anybody on here would fal for a scam artist.
The number of posts is meaningless, as any idiot can babble, it doesnt mean they make sense, tell the truth or are accurate, let alone real words of wisdom.
:-)
From the WEST coast, certainly not from Newfoundland or Georgia as transport costs are too high and there are nearer and cheaper markets elsewhere.
again with the personal attacks, please grow up.
Hi Nagy, all I do is give you honest information on the industry and on Newfoundland. The information you should be looking for if you do any sort of due diligence.
I have never lied or exaggerated and I find the fact that the attacks on me are personal and childish but no one argues against the information itself because they know I can bacj up whatever I say.
There are those on here who dont want the truth, all they want for whatever reason, is for people to make positive posts with regards to the shares and the company and that is suspicious as hell.
You mean you and DrM. You are very childish or have you been at the sherbert tonight, but alcohol is not the answer though technically I suppose it is a solution.
I can understand you having a tantrum if you have lost loads of money on a bad investment old boy, but dont blame me for your mistakes. Speaking of alcohol, another glass of wine I think before bed.
No need to be rude old boy, play nice.
Management on here told me off for trying to give people a heads up, seems to be different definitions of common knowledge on here
Sorry I had a senior moment, you mean the mayor of Main Brook, he and I never met but I believe him to be a good man. He is certainly well thought of in the area.
Who is Leander Pilgrim?
Hi Pascha
Yes Hawkes Bay is a far better location in every way. I dont know water depth at the berth or the tide heights, and that would have to be confirmed as suitable.
If AEG does well then yes they could have access to a lot more timber, but access is getting tougher as less and less land is turned over to conservation projects, and the timber in the province is slow growing, unlike Georgia
Georgia has loads of timber for sure, logistics can be a challenge due to bridge weight restrictions, and if you get to close to a paper mill then they are ruthless if they think you are a threat. When we were there the price was $30 a ton delivered. Rail freight is fragmented and expensive.
The best NF partner, in fact it is essential, and that is the Corner Brook Paper Mill. Fred at Burton Cove is a good one to have on your side,
I am no longer interested in pellets, it was only a stepping stone for me anyway, what I wanted was the rail line and the development Park at Bishop's Falls, and unlike what DrM might say I am doing very very well thank you .
Hi Nagy. As much as I would like to, I think it is advisable that I don't, but we did set up a company and worked with local stakeholders, and we did bid for the central region timber supply. We also put in a proposal for the Northern Peninsular and Labrador. We were also fronting for a major USA pellet company, but that was not common knowledge.
The proposals were well received by most interested parties including Krugers and a major sawmill company.
We started the process of buying out Holson and I did visit/inspect the site and still have all the documents and their accounts up to 2014. I did nearly lose a finger when I slipped and my finger got caught on our pickup door, nothing to do with saws, there hadnt been a saw running there for at least 2 years when I was there and I dont think any repairs had been carried out since the last fire they had.
The kilns didnt work and the pellet plant had produced a small batch of white pellets once before it was shut down. The layout was bad, and neither bagging line worked.
There was no storage facility and no access to any Wharfe suitable to handle a pellet cargo ship of any size, certainly not a 15,000 -25,0000-tonne ship.
The cost of trucking from Roddickton to St Anthony was prohibitive, and again there were no storage facilities. You need to have storage facilities to hold a full ship's load, ships don't wait while you truck in pellets.
The best place for a wharf and storage was at Min Brook but would have to be built from scratch, at a cost of least $5 MILLION.
There is a lot more I could say and I have all the documents and emails to back it up, so anyone thinking of calling me liar had better talk to their lawyers first, I even have the legal documents to show the agreement to build a rail line between Bishop's Falls and Bowood. At the time we had an offer of a contract in principle with Drax and access to a £100 million fund from an investment company in London, so everything was possible
Oh dear, so many lies and so much deceit, first of all I will give you a £1,000 if you can show anywhere where I said I nearly lost a finger on a saw, and as for this so called perfectly sound investment, do you mean this one that has lost nearly 90% of its value in less than a year? Puhlease.
Who said I had personal connections with AEG, I never did? But I certainly know people who have.
As for you Merlin, if you had listened instead of ignoring me you wouldn't have lost your money, it is the likes of Applehead and DrM you should ignore, it is they who have encouraged you to buy seats on a sinking ship.
As for admin investigating me, the only thing they brought up with me is the use of the term common knowledge, it seems what is common knowledge on the island is not elsewhere and therefore is verboten. So I DO NOT HAVE information that is common knowledge under the definition that is on here, and Yes there should be an investigation, and it should be of the likes of you who are trying to get people to invest when common sense and the market suggests you should do otherwise.
ps thanks for making me smile.
Nope, this is nothing to do with AEG. the industry looked at using plain wood chips as fuel even before I was on the island,. Long story short the government wouldn't convert their buildings because of the cost and to be honest the logistics cost and storage issues made it unrealistic anyway.
We also looked at torrified pellets but that wasn't realistic either.
Lots of problems using wood chips for fuel in cold countries.
If you had the chance to see the sawmill, you would realise itis not going to happen unless it is rebuilt from scratch. Back in 2014 when I saw it, it was literally falling apart, the kiln doesnt work, and basically, it is a mess. It would be locked down and condemned if it was in the UK, and that was 4 years ago
I did try to warn people, but people dont like bad news. I would really like to know the true identity of DrM because his behavior on here stinks and he has cost people a lot of money feeding their greed with jam tomorrow predictions, and all you have to do is buy buy buy.
If there is a criminal investigation I hope he is one of those investigated.
NL Gov had nothing to lose in granting the land to AEG as it is on a use it or lose it basis. If all goes well the govt looks good, if all fails they can say it cost the government nothing and was worth a punt.
Granting the land was very good politics.
