@hounddog - the current setup favours the free loaders, i worked with guy who was institutionalised by RM, he was a lovely bloke but one of the most useless tools in a kiddies tool box. This is what years and years of being nannied by the government does for the mind, its like a form of brain washing.

Piece work or price works gives you targets to aim for, its empowering it also gives you a sense of responsibility and drive as you are effectively helping yourself, its not for everyone (freeloaders) as they will be the first out the door, but for those who enjoy a days work and some self satisfaction its perfect, its not about cracking the whip its about being more productive and leaving with some sense of achievement and self satisfaction, its a win win for everyone, ive done it i know.

This will turn ugly now for those that go to picket, as rick has said some staff already cant believe they havent accepted an offer, most reasonable people realise you have to wiggle room when negotiating, its how deals are made but by demanding everything set out from the get go.

Staff have the chance to save their jobs, those who go picket will almost certainly be gone if this comes to a P&O style fire and rehire, even if it doesnt there will be job losses now. Go and see your managers get a deal and continue working, ile say it again.

@Rick - to think the members are paying for this also, disgraceful really, you would be better to get Mick Lynch, yes hes hard ball union man but he also has diplomacy skills, unlike those in charge at present.

Quite clearly your union has let you all down monumentally, stop blaming the company and see this is two sided, negotiations are exactly that and require give and take thats how agreements are made.

@Angerz - well they have all been warned and regardless what Dave says each person has the ability to continue to work whilst its sorted out, if Dave is going to go on strike everytime he doesnt get his own way can you wonder at it why they want him gone?

By all means support what you believe in but do not strike, save yourself while you can, you can still fight for what you want with out losing wages and pushing the company over the edge.

Worth mentioning also that if we have to pay any tax at higher rate than the UK CGT you can claim it back here with HMRC

@CT - ive written off the chance of any kind of tax wrapper atm, focusing more on the SP gain by the move and future growth, we might be surprised with what the bod come up with so its not written off yet.

@Cleverthoughts - i wouldnt say Dubai is an illiquid platform, i would say thats where you want to be when BRICS gets going, also there is a hell of a lot of rich Russians and other nationalities now residing there, London is finished as the financial centre, even ARM didnt want to list there from Cambridge which says it all. Its also good to have some exposure to markets that are not joined at the hip to the NASDAQ or SP500 especially when the ****e hits fan.

@Rick- tbanks for being honest, I posted this several times and just got ignored, it doesn't take a lot to read between the lines worth what's going on, they are after dave and he knows it, he trying to save his own own arss by dragging everyone in to this war, DK and the board want the union gone, or the very least dave ward.

@Simx - they look like delayed sells to me from Friday, both trades are off book with market code ECHO which is not LSE, these types of trades are normally delayed and we were above that price 231 friday for quite some time.

Doesnt matter in any case because by the time they print the order its already had an effect on the market price, its dropped a lot since Friday so i would edge on the side of sell.

News of the continuing dispute was definitely leaked last week before the official announcement from dodgy Dave

its an uncrossing trade Sid in auction, not a buy in open market, its the market maker clearing his order book with what of his left of stock and matching orders in auction. Its better that it was on the buy side in any case.
