Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
The number of people selling is funny... The community has been unanimous that this is a great hold opportunity, and yall are taking your 50p profit and running off to buy a 20 pack of beer with it...
in my opinion, and it is only my opinion, this is an oppertunity you are likely to stumble upon only a few times in your lifetime... Dont sell yourselves short. but each to their own.
Lets be realistic, you and I both would not want this as part of any FTSE250 index if we didn't own it.
I am a firm believer its a golden egg, but this could also be a time bomb and there is no way with the debt mountain it has that it deserves to be promoted when so close to to fringe.
Ive had enough of the 10+ takeover threads. I do appreciate there is excitment which is great, but lets have some good old, short sighted, smash talking SP speculation.
I'm thinking, US opens, we go up to +3% today.
Any advances?
Lets not get our nickers in a twist... if youre so confident, buy more and share in the fortune. If you think this has legs, then forget about what day and just keep the faith.
I also think we should all remember how volitile this stock can be, and just be thankful today looks blue, no matter how blue we think it should be (US market opens in 5 mins, could well be bluer yet)
DYOR
Thought Id weigh in.
As a young bloke, I know a LOT of my peers only use ASOS as they know the returns policy is great. ASOS sells some pretty edgy and out there stuff, and if you make it hard to return, you'll just lose custom. I do not for one second believe the bast majority of customers are behaving to this extreme... dont alienate the bulk of your customers just because of a few extremeists.
Deposited another chunk of cash in. Pay day next week, hoping it falls further so I dont miss the gravy train!
Unfounded volitility should be seen as a huge bonus, not a negative! save judgment for results day IMO.

Yeah, i am just gathering thoughts. I have always said, i am here to hold for the long run, and i have said a lot that the bussiness fundementals are the key.
I just dont know MA, wanted to discuss off the back of an article about him that was in this thread lol.
I am not particularly familiar with MA's character, but that article certainly was not favourable towards him! Sounds like a bit of a bully boy "man about town". Does anyone know his track record for wreckles or damaging actions within compnays he has stakes in?
Its so easy to be an expert on things that habe already happened... Im going to check out of this board for a while, too many negative voices. Ill be back after a blue spell for the celebratory pats on the back, before the following red spell again lol.
you heard it hear first. next week is going to be blue.
i have no evidence, no idea... but i feel it in my ****les... blue is the colour for the week. up 10% from monday to friday ;)
what are we thinking speculators?!
(this is just for fun dyor)
I tend to agree. I think the swing is a huge over exaggeration. Its still prime time to hold the line IMO. Again, Im goung to scream it from the rooftops; the next trading statement is the key. I would go further. I think if the trading update is positive, despite retail being down, it will show the company is recovering at a difficult time, and if that is to occour, and there is no reason to suggest it wont, then it will time to get very very excited.
Hold the line soldiers. It'll either be glory, or slaughter... lol. DYOR.
Huge drop for a seasonal issue. I cant wait for payday, because its time to eat.
The next trading update is way more valuable than a sector wide peice if bad news. As I said before, ASOS'challenge is different to the rest. Its not about how much profit for us, its about the managment of the debt! If that infomation is good, this headline will be dust in the rear view. Equally, it could be bad! Just my opinion.
As much as high demand is obviously very important, and the weather may have effected that to an extent (Im not convinced its to the extent some seem to fear), the more important long term question is, how is stock being managed, is the surplus sell off being handeled successfully and does the recovery plan continue to hold as they work through it.
ASOS is not every other fashion retailer, or online retailer. I am far more interested in the business managment and fundemental action plans than seasonal market sentiment.
I may be wrong!
Yeah, i was asking about what might be behind a sharp drop yesterday morning. I dont claim to know anything, its just observations.
I do observe however, that I was told it was "just a 1% drop" yesterday morning, and that it would all be blue. Lol.
Two days ago everyone was patting eachother on the back because the graph said we were going to the moon, something about Three White Soliders or something... Its just amazing that everyone predicts good when its good, and bad when its bad!
