The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
Mediman (or any others) - I know it is completely conjuncture but do you have a personal opinion on when I raise might be likely?
Are we talking a few months?
Got in on the retrace earlier in the week but agree that things look so much more positive now. I just want to invest more haha. GLA
I also have the added incentive that I’ve had some bad medical news recently, and I’m young!
So whilst I’m not wedded to this stock I have a solid amount invested and it would just be nice you know? (Ignore the previous 200% I got haha). I do like the thrills though haha
I spend too much time here than I should haha. I’m going to stop.
If things go the way we hope then these levels will be laughable in a few months. If they don’t then who cares (in my opinion anyway).
My only question is whether I should top up in the new tax year or not.
Gcm will submit the proposal and maybe raise after that. They have stated end May as the time they need to.
We might have approval by then, maybe not.
We have a few naysayers now which is interesting
Doze - all valid concerns and I find myself nervous too. But at this stage overall content to hold given the information we have.
I think you might have mentioned this weeks ago but my primary concern is Hasina’s reluctance to work with GCM as an entity, given the history, so worst case scenario would see the mine approval but us pushed out.
Again, I’m still optimistic and holding, but that keeps me up at night lol (it doesn’t really but you get my drift)
I was tempted to invest a few weeks ago - glad I didn’t lol. I can still do so at a nice discount.
I do find it funny the amount of emphasis being placed on ‘please’ and ‘looking forward’. This is literally almost generic wording for RNSs. If you go back through the old RNSs, 88e have said the exact same thing multiple times and then produced a duster lol
The apparent slowness is frustrating but as others have said, no news from the nomad is in a way, good news.
My optimistic side is hoping that one of the NEDs may even have some government connection (would make sense, right?) so that news has to come out broadly in line with an approval announcement I.e Bangla gov approves on the basis that they have a ned in the game.
My more pragmatic side just thinks these things do take a while and Bangla as a jurisdiction simply causes more headaches for sign off. I have worked in places where we required legal opinions for similar jurisdictions and believe it it took incredibly long
Thanks for that searcher, you’ve well and truly lived up to your name.
Only time will tell but I’ve made my bets and am more than happy with them. Let’s hope the next few weeks or month (particularly before the end May placing lol) will be fruitful
Fission - I think it’s incredibly well known that Hasina is a major risk factor, as you put it. But things do seem more positive and that’s what we have to go on.
Do you have a inside line with her which you would be able to spill the beans on?
Rider - I’m not entirely sure what you mean but I think there has been a big shift here. Some LTHs are 15 years in and this is the most optimistic it has ever been so there is a general quiet optimism.
Obviously still risk but I think this why we are all in AIM stocks!
Indeed. I’m completely nonchalant about the SP though, anything under 10p will feel like a steal hopefully so if it fluctuates, it fluctuates.
Maxed out the isa though so not convinced I will get another opportunity to top up
Every so often I pause and think am I being too optimistic about this stock - it seems bizarre that this is seemingly so under the radar, even with the recent rise.
But at still just c£20mn market cap the potential upside here is literally insane.
As ‘early’ investors we are taking on the approval risk but it’s looking like more and more that we might, just might, be greatly rewarded for it…
Hello all. New here so just forming my own opinion but thanks for all the comments.
To confirm - we are expecting results for the first set of tests by 21 march? (I.e approx 10 from commencement). And then a further set from the other site by the end of the month?
So two potential big positive catalyst, assuming the tests yield good results!
