Don’t think we will have any problems with deal now. Would have fallen through a long time ago if any issues.

Just we are all of the opinion that when the deal is done we will suddenly shoot up but it could be a longer haul.

One other thing that has always niggled me.. Why did BASF sell to us instead of the rich guys which would have meant they could have exited oil as is there wish.

And how much of a pain will they be as major shareholders remembering what happened last time….

All will be revealed…..

Agree with sone of your post but the fact still remains the deal is all but done.

I’m just suggesting that we are outsiders looking in and know very very little.

If Harbour is such a cert why are the big boys piling in and why are volume so low.

Yes I know Slim has bought but that has not moved the SP. In fact we are down on every matrix.

Thank goodness we have a great dividend….

Hopefully Harbour will do well but we must not close our eyes others and others past behaviour.

PMO were a solid company with great assets who were knifed in the back by the very people who lent them money. Harbour was trading happily at over £5 per share when “mates” were allowed to exit the company having made a lot of money whilst the SP was trounced.

Harbour has never done well for investors but I’m one of the many believers who think that’s all about to change.

The question is, if this is the deal of the decade why are volumes so low and the SP failing to gain momentum on a deal almost completed and after a fantastic update.

Are we missing something?..

AJBell very good but slow when your buying and selling same day as an example.

Ii very quick and good with everything, not a huge fan of web site but that’s just me…

I note that the dividend has been brought forward a month so that it is paid out in Q3 and Harbour stating they are nearly there…

So based on that do we think it will happen on 1st October to keep the quarter clean for accounting purposes…

Sounds like life has been tough for you but you’re still in the game and fighting on. “Never give Up” is advise I live by. Nine of us know what’s around the corner and things can change very very quickly.

Re Harbour I’m pretty certain today won’t fireworks for us but in time… who knows…Should be good..

We all chase the big bucks and many fall down a lot. I’ve owned Genel, GKP, MXP, Exite and Carillon all huge mistakes.

Take the positives in life, enjoy every second with you family and friends and always try to do the right things to everybody.

Squeeze every drop of juice out of life..

Yes, there is a new share structure and finance associated with the new company..

They have committed to a dividend rasie when we hit the road but I would be surprised tomorrow. Who knows...

Slim bought more Talos which we are partners with in Zama so not quite but very simular...

Gas at this years high and oil on the march so all looking good.

I’m not surprised it didn’t rise much today, I mean Gas is only up 6% and oil 3%. Surprised we didn’t go down.

The huge one will be how close they are to completing the deal and they may throw some morsels in for us to lust over in the next year or so…

Before today.....

HOUSTON, Sept. 27, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Talos Energy Inc. ("Talos" or the "Company") (NYSE: TALO) and its Mexican subsidiary ("Talos Mexico") today announced the closing of the sale of a 49.9% interest in Talos Mexico to Zamajal, S. A. de C.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Grupo Carso ("Carso"), a company controlled by the family of the Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim.

As consideration for the sale, Talos received $74.85 million in cash at closing, with an additional $49.90 million due upon first production, for an aggregate price of $124.75 million. Talos Mexico, now owned 50.1% by Talos Energy and 49.9% by Carso, holds a 17.4% interest in the Zama field. Talos will remain the controlling shareholder of Talos Mexico.

So after today our friend increased his stake in Talos and therefore Zama.

Now why on earth would the richest man in Asia be so interested in Zama....

Too many shares in issues for that price by then.

£20 more realistic....

Couldn't agree more its the outside issues that are a concern.

If we end up in a war our shares wont be worth a xxxx.

However if things settle down and we have any kind of normality with our predominent Gas position and loads and loads if income streams and fields to bring to life we should do well.

Harbour has historically been unloved, flown by the seat of its pants with high debt and dodgy investors even when inside the FT100.

This time we still have lots of people in the shadows from Slim to Blake to BASF who I still have no idea what they are doing to the Shifty Russians.

What could possible go wrong ???
