RE: Today’s close…11 Aug 2021 15:52
Great points Compound. Not sure I agree with them all though.
I do think we will have very high oil prices as simply we are using close to 100 million barrels and day and no one is doing anywhere near as much exploration work as they were.
Won’t take long for the wells to drain and new wells needed.
The whole green thing is so so heavy to get your head around. At one end we have areas of the world with no electricity still and others in places are already ahead of the game.
I think mankind have kind of been taken by surprise whilst always knowing the risk in not doing anything about our emissions. Its sure as hell been confirmed now........Greece, Australia, USA to name a few extreme weather events.
Will we use batteries for cars or are they a stepping stone to something else? Can we use geothermal heat to provide all the world energy need, will we ever get the biggest emitters to go green (china 1 new coal fired station every week apparently), who will pay for the poorest countries with the biggest emission to go green? Will self-preservation destroy the plant?
Bangs head against wall and opens a can of Cider. Apples picked by an emitting tractor, produced by a machine using electricity, driven to a supermarket distribution centre in a diesel lorry, driven to a supermarket in another diesel lorry, put on shelf by a woman who drove to work in her unleaded car, bought by me driving my unleaded car…..
I’ll have a glass of water instead…..LOL….
