Kitchentowel: Speaking as a tpical investor I dont dream about companies growth rates that are somewhat due to acquisitions and share floats. Anyone can do that....

But my competition was wrong...

It should have been UP , DOWN, NEUTRAL or OTHER by last trading day of the year....

So far just two replies:

I can see many of my fellow investors are not the types who play Christmas stocks and shares "tip" games so loved by the press and some other investment boards.. This is SBTX we're the poe faces.

I'm voting up.

If you were a millionaire in cash, that million shares would equate to over 10% of your entire savings - even if you had two million quid it would still be 5%. It does not become a negligible amount until you get to people who have over £10M invested in stocks and shares....

But if you had £10M+ in cash you probably would not bet on AIM stocks unless its was pretty certain to be a winner... So the implication is, if money talks, someone "thinks" they know something that the general market does not...... Possibly someone with vague connections to the cosmetic industry (one way or the other - perhaps in another investment in another country?)

A general rule:

A startup CEO that under promises is on the dole. A CEO that over promises will still be the CEO.

That is how AIM works.

You lot need to grow up.

I can easily go to the AGM and have a short city break in Newcastle but I cant be bothered as nothing worthwhile is ever said at an AGM that is not in an RNS - unless you know people there and you go for a slap up meal or p*ss-up...

That is non sequitur to my original comment, I did not say I knew anything about you. In fact I know zero about you. All I do know is that you originally wrote that you were not losing lots of money on your shares but were "making" money. Not knowing you at all I know just TWO ways to make money on shares: (a) sell them at a profit or (b) get dividends. Since we dont get dividends that leaves the last option: You have sold them...

A while back I asked Bazza if he was upset because he bought his LOADS of shares at way too high a price and thus was losing a lot of money. He replied that I was wrong and he was making lots of money on them. I dont understand how that can be unless he is short or buys on some good bit of news then immediately sells after the rise dries up. So in all honesty Bazza has kind of admitted he is not a "conventional" shareholder - he might be a shorter or trader but a conventional shareholder DEFINITELY cannot be making money on SBTX so its quite possible he has no shares at any given moment.

In tech there often are ten year BIG cycles (I know we get upgrades between them but what I mean - the big ones:

2000s INTERNET

2010s SMARTPHONES

2020s AI

it could be argued that ZENAKINE represents such a pivot for cosmetics... So it might (if lucky) last 10 years.

If it makes us about £4M a year for about 5 years that would give us a market cap (assuming pe of 15) about £60m..... (max) - assuming no other positive or negative developments....

So if we get to about 30p a share that would be fair value....

But some are talking about 60p a share or £1 a share....

So how much money do we think Zenakine is likely to make? I was thinking £4M a year for SBTX is about right.... But possibly my PE of 15 is low and since its AIM perhaps a PE of 25 is better - so a market cap of 60p (if we are really lucky and the message boards are full of positive comments, not negative)... Do you think I have guessed this right? Or am I being too pessimistic/optimisitc?

So Bazzaman, your honestly held opinion, is that investors, like yourself and perhaps me too, should (generally speaking) ignore all the other crap and make a reasonable guess that the MONEY from Zenakine will be enough to boost SBTX into at least a £60M market cap stock (assuming no more share floats) and ideally a £100M market cap stock and you "expect" this to happen (one assumes) within the next 12 months (otherwise why be here)..

Against that Sun Today is a very optimistic chap (I've met him) and he has shown no obvious signs of buying back in..... So possibly in the clear light of day, perhaps there are too many variables to invest "big" - it has to be a small punt... But then you and others seem to have bet "BIG" - so I dont see why you are so certain....

Surely there are other investments they could be in which will produce the same sort of returns (or better)? I dont get it... What is going on here... Seriously, I've never met such a consistantly negative bunch of investors who still hold the stock - not just in small amounts but some say up to about 1% of the company...

Where do they see the value? So MUCH value they are prepared to put up with more or less anything.... What am I missing....

I could add not a single one of them "sound" like charity types - they must be here to make money. So part of thier "scheme" to make money must be a constant stream of negativity (more or less)... But they also sound "honest" so one assumes they are not short selling (surely they would say if they were). So the other alternative is they want to buy cheaper stock (but that would also be dishonest) so all we are left with is they are happy to make short run lossses (year or so) if at the end of the day the CEO does a much better job "thanks" to their contstant stream of negativity... If that is what they are implying I cant honestly see how that will help. Really the best thing all round is to sell and not look back.

BBC Radio 4 did a dicsussion on this topic last night... They said CEOs are paid to be massively optimistic but few people believe them unless their words match the words from the FINANCE DICRECTOR... So the key is always "can you trust the words of the finance director"

If she tells the truth then all is OK.... The market (so Radio 4 assures us) assumes the CEO is being overly optimistic.

BBC Radio 4 was talking about FTSE100 shares (like Glaxo) but it seems to roughly fit AIM too apart from that AIM CEO's appear to have a lot more rough edges - going from optimism to verbal misteps all too easily...

Oh dear oh dear. It does not look good. Does that £6M include Zenakine...

It is holding up BW - I really want it to break 14p though to get momemntum going

People appear to be buying at this price - the next step is to get the sell price above 14p

A stock waiting to explode north.

I guess this is another one of those days where we need to break 14p or slip back.....

A pyschological tipping point
