It's not the news of the century is it? We knew (hoped) for a finance package in this shape or form £2.3bn and £400ml equity raise. This was on the cards since it went back to JPM and the poor deal put forward by the IPA. All said and done glad this is happening and we have an rns in the morning. £400ml is better then £600ml in equity

Would be an ideal situation to off set the issue of new shares to a later time when further milestones have been reached. That really would give us flexibility. Not sure JPM would sign up to that but there‘s a chance....

Then the IPA guarantee isn't part of this stg 2 deal? Supposedly JPM is going to fund us subject to a successful 400-600ml placing. This is what I understand at the moment but if the IPA guarantee has been agreed for what ever it's worth maybe it should stay as part of the deal.... or are we now looking to the IPA for a different deal with this new stg2 package? Who knows, hope for positive news on Tuesday.

All fair points... but I thought the IPA was now agreed on a guarantee to borrow 1.5 bn at the last stage of the build given that we had reached that milestone Very poor show on the IPA‘s part but never the less it‘s there for us. What’s your take on this , finance coming through or not?? There I ask.....

Call for govt officials to leak sensitive info re stg 2 If they don’t know they should find out and tell us. That’s what I call useful. Just for a change.....

Have to say though and i’ve always thought this. What a great project not just for the area but for the whole nation. Can’t understand frankly why we wouldn’t have found a way of funding this here in the UK from our own institutions instead of overseas money. A project which is in reach of the city of London ... they can almost touch it... Like many amazing companies started life in the UK and had to be financed overseas to bring them to fruition. Even our jet engine needed Boeing to really get it going in the end...

If they havant worked it out by now, Sounds like it could be quite a long wait......too long some might say...

If all goes pear shaped we can phone the Russians. They’ll take care of any bad press from the FT or those other fools..... Bit of nerve agent or something. And build our Mine in double quick time. Mind you, the Chinese own the FT so perhaps not!!!
