3CB,
True - but it’s fairly easy to also add a bullish case:
1. Should make money from the venture
2. Adds another product diversification.
3. Either puts a white hat on JLP for the Zambian government or stops a black hat being added - which should lead to significant future commercial opportunities.
4. Supercharges JLP’s ESG credentials to the max and should offer an enormous boost to companies profile - which we know is still not uppermost in II minds given our low p/e that doesn’t reflect our scalability, operational performance to date, ESG or metal sector disruptive capabilities.
5. Feel good boost to morale (and therefore goodwill) of the Jubilee workforce (many of whom as Zambians will be acutely aware that but for fate Kabwe could have been their plight). Even if directors are immune - adding to the Jubilee Way talk track that LC is working hard to project (we fulfil our commitments and always close or finish our strategic and operational commitments) - the John Wayne cowboy factor if you like.
6. Feel even better about oneself than you already do - LC and CB - the noble one!
So 5 reasons before you even need to get misty eyed.
Personally i am very fond of this share and hope it in no small way funds my options to retire in 10’years,having bought in a couple of years ago at sub 3p, but Kabwe clean up might make it my all time favourite share and one worthy of mention over and above the hum drum route to investing for wealth creation.
