Thanks Lesmondo but that has not really answered what I was asking, If the Drug is worth a shed full of money why would the buyer not buy it off Hercules directly and Lombard Odier have sold about a quarter of their holding in the last week, thats why I cannot understand whats going on..
It was only 500 shares in VOD and I decided to throw the dice. and have since invested another £300 making a total invested to £1280 I feel foolish now but thought I might end up with a few grand,,
Hi again Lesmondo
Why are they selling their shares into the market, do you think they are getting their cash back as its likely to be a bust on the RTO.
Good evening all.
I am a new investor and this is only the second share I have owned, I was left shares in Vod and sold them to buy into this share the only consolation I have is it has suffered also in this recent crisis.
I spent lots of time over the long weekend reading everything I can about this company, all the company announcements and hundreds of posts on all the chat rooms.
Can someone answer these few questions without Ramping or Deramping the share.
Question 1: If the drug is valuable, why has no-one bought it off Hercules as it seems they holds the rights to it and all the IP.
Question 2: If the current CEO of Motif has connections with the possible take over companies are we sure he is batting for us in these negotiations especially if he is still a director or similar for the other company..
Question 3: Everything I have read about RTO's is that the private company must buy over 50% of the target company in the market, surely if that is the case why is the share price falling and the biggest holder is selling into the market.
I would have put question marks for these questions but every time I try to use that key other browser loads.
If you have serious answers please let me know but save the abuse as I really cannot handle it..
Well I am hopeful that we will get some return if the RTO gets done, from what I have read the suitor company needs to purchase over 50% of Motif shares in the open market, as far as I can see that is not yet happening and surely now would be the time they would be doing it with the share price under 1p.
After that they need to come to an agreement with the remaining holders for the rest of the shares. what worries me is if they get over half the company in the open market, how much are they likely to offer for the rest?
Every time the price goes up I think its stock building and decide to hang on for the break even point to get back the £1300 I "Invested" I think next time it shoots up, if it does I will call it a day.
I so wish I was one of those sellers you are feeling sorry for . those who sold out at a higher price???
I am on a 2p average having recently averaged down, and doubt I will ever get a chance to break, If its hits 1.4p I will be out.
This share Malarky really isn't for me.
not that much of a dog, I sold out of this for a AIM share, now that really is a dog.
Just bought another 33,836 shares for less than £300 considering my previous holding was 25,000 for nearly £980, I have only got my fingers crossed and hope it all goes well over the next few weeks, thanks Lesmondo and all the other positive posts I have been reading over the weekend, Im not kidding myself that its a done deal but feel confident about averaging down.
Hasiba thanks for putting some clarity to what's happening on the 10th, I feel so much better now knowing that the potential buyer needs to make an acceptable offer, I thought all they needed was to buy 50% of the shares to have total control, don't have a big holding but I can do with getting some of it back.
I am a newbie to this site but have held shares in this shambles for many months and had almost given up hope.
I read a post by you regarding the proposed RTO but can't seem to find it now.
You speculated that in your opinion the issue of new shares may be earmarked for the use of the preferred Take over company to use towards securing the 50% they would need to capture Motif bio, I agree that the high level of buying suggests a stake building, but surely if they bought 25% through the placing and then picked up another 25% through the market giving them a controlling stake they would then hold rights to 50% of Midas assets, some of which is the £650,000 so in effect they will get half their own money back.... is that legal? your opinions please.
Personally I'm hoping for 2 suiters to emerge as I need about 4p to get out clear.
