Gamble?5 Feb 2019 01:26
BIB, you say you have a big holding and our investment is a gamble. I would like to think it's a calculated gamble with the odds heavily stacked in our favour. Ive cut and pasted Sxxwe post on Sunday to justify my reasoning.
For those that haven't already done so, I urge you to follow the link below and look at page 10 to see the new licenses we have. It is BGS January presentation in which they still claim under application.

The area is huge, and as GFD has said locks in a fair amount of the area around BGS project. There are loads of potential upsides:
+ Potentially loads of Li. BGS obviously wanted it for a reason
+ Can sell to BGS for profit, help fund Bougouni
+ If BGS require infrastructure on that land, then maybe they can be allowed to build it on the condition we are allowed to use it? Could be useful to have a free road if there is Li in the area...
+ Feels very much like a power play from KOD, showing the region, the gov and the lithium buyers that we mean business, and we're here to stay for a loooong time. Bougouni, Diendio and now a slice of Goulamina.
I know BGS have some deals on the cards with some Chinese companies, but it feels like Shandong Ruifu/SC are more serious about the region:
+ Own 30% of KOD
+ Conducting metallurgical tests / bulk sample tests
+ Have a member on our BoD
+ Hosted the ministers of Mali in China
+ Attended KODs AGM
So with a serious backer, and KOD hoovering up licenses kind of makes me feel they're becoming the defacto leading explorer of the region - a position I would admit BGS used to hold.
