Same here, I was all ready to double my stake in early jan, i hadn't thought anything would happen before then! Now i don't know if its worth while.
I'd like to buy more to reduce my average, but i can't really see how long 2.09mln is really going to last a company who are in the midst of exploration.
What are management expectations? Is there any chance that that just means its all gone pear shaped but they expected it! lol! I'm trying to work out if the current market turbulence means its not a good time to be taking punts on recovery stocks. but always tempting when a stock loosed some 100+ % and the management "know no reason" why
So, realistically is that 10-20 day time frame for results now irrelevant? Now that its in Ecopetrol's Hands? Is there anything to stop Ecopetrol pushing to renegotiate their agreement with BLR?
"chill out" is always useful advice and information, so thanks for that! I'm not panicking, i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas why it would drop (however small) Hardly seems bad news that one of the JV operators is drilling in columbia.
Where's this sudden drop come from? Not many sells, lots of buys, seems a lot of confidence that the results are gonna be good. So why the sudden mark down (i know its not massive but still!) They close the spread a bit this morn but its opened again now.
BLR: Can anyone let me know what these negative trades are, like the one at 9:57 for -80,000 shares? Just out of interest. Also, lets hope this confidence remains until the actual results come. It could be another week couldn't it? Thanks, Ed
"Arthro Kinetcis Can see no reason for the recent drop in share price" (sept 2006) - BULL. Since then its been nothing but bad news, news that they probably knew was in the pipeline! What a waste of time
Sorry, meant CEO not chairman,
Pity they decided to announce the chairman stepping down and the trouble with liscences in asian and the US on the same day. Was tempted to by more at 35p, but just not sure how long term this stock is becomming! Don't want to see because i'm 38% down now, and don't want to by becuase its so thinly traded. Gues i'll just forget about these for 6 months and see how they are next year!
I want to hold these shares becuase i can't see anything that has changed particularly since the float, when the shares were valued at over 100p, and since then everything seems to have gone roughly to plan. But its difficult to remain confident when there hasn't been a buy for a week, and the only day of real trading was sells of about 300k! Any light to shed on those sales? With the current market cap, current share of their market, and agreed future distribution deals etc, aren't they increasingly becomming an inviting acquisition for a larger player?
Is anyone still holding any of these. Its so annoyingly illiquid and theres so little News! I bought at 55p so i'm definitely holding until at least early next year unless so news (good or bad) compells me to sell. I was just wondering if anyone else was in and what opinions they had? Am i wrong in assuming that there is every chance this company will turn a profit some time next year?
AKI- purely speculative, but if the share price continues to languish mid 40's despite the sales and distribution agreements reached and the clear market presence and potential for revenue for this company, not to mention the present levels of consolidation and acquisitions going on in this sector-- does anyone have any ideas about whether AKI could potentially become a bid target? just pure speculation to pass a dull friday afternoon, but still
AKI- and yet they still fall, and the only two trades are sales. Am i missing something? I can't see anything wrong with this share or any reason why it was floated succesfully at 120p and is now worth less than 50p....???
AKI- To my simplistic little brain that looks pretty much like good news. And despite the relatively mature market that they operate in, their international expansion and acquisitions should lead to growth really. Plus they have a fair bit of cash to keep them moving. I'm hoping this share will get back to at least near the original price, and i don't see why it shouldn't except for the obvious illiquidity!! It would be nice if there were a few more trades to get it moving!
AKI- Results on monday- any opinions on which way these might take the share? At least maybe, if good it might get some liquiditity!
ADA- For those who like ADA- does anyone have an opinion on AKI?? Took a similarly large drop on one sale, but nothing but good news and new deals recently with results at end of the month and no indication that they should be bad. Only trouble is very low volumes most of the time so not sure how it will pick back up- just wondering if any of you more experianced guys had any opinions on it.
The spread is big at the mo, but it did only recently drop 50% in price so i was expecting it to narrow gradually, but i may be wrong. I hope all the sales today were people who bought straigth after the drop taking the 25%. None were big enough to really worry, but obvioulsy this share is a bit jumpy!! I think i want to hold mine until the results at the end of the month- i may be being optimistic, but without bad news i don't see why this share should do anything but rise- i just hope not all the recent investors are too short term, or panicky. As far as i can see it is a company that had a solid footing in a mature market, but is also expanding into growing markets and is increasing distribution of its products world wide. And a couple of weeks ago it was happily worth 120p a share. Since then all that has happenned is someone sold 130k shares for 30p, then after that other people bought about 500k shares for 50-60p.
Any ideas why the hefty drop today and only sells so far this morning?? Are there rumours that the results will be poor or something?? Although there have been a few sells this morn (i count 6) thats nothing compared to the vol of buys recently. Is this share just really sensitive to sells?????
I agree with Davius, i don't see any reason why you would sell 150,000 shares at 30p without there being some other reason for the low price. It can't just be a lack of confidence! Especially as in the proceeding days 4 buys of over 150,000 shares went through. So that gave me the confidence to buy! But i do tend to take a very simplistic view of these things- As far as i can tell the company is making alot of progress in new markets and is on the up- As long as it isn't trying to bite of more than it can chew i might hold these beyond the (hopefully) inevitable bounce back towards the original price.
