I think with the current macro climate, we are holding up relatively well. The whole market is risk off, which captures Kodal, given what Hainan reported and expectations of a resource upgrade regardless, this is a great buying opportunity.

Look through the noise and invest in fundamentals.

It is a very typical M&A playbook to buy shares in the open market. Whilst that may influence full take over price, they would subsequently have to buy less shares for full control.

Spread is always so aggressive and prevents us moving up meaningfully!

What is your exit price? You bemoan that this is the worst investment you have had and wish you never exited, yet you still hold?

If you think it has no hope, then surely you would just cut your losses and sell up?

By virtue of not selling, it means you think it has further upside, so why the constant negativity?

Joe, do you think newmont / barrick / any other miner issues an RNS to let their investors know whenever there is a mine shut down? The answer is no btw.

Simple google "average time for mines from exploration to production"...answer: 18 years.

Instability in Mali is completely out of Kodal's hands.

Building a mine in pretty record time from exploration -> discovery -> production however is.

I am comfortable with this as an investment as the management team are continuing to deliver. The share does not fully capture Kodal's value given wider macro, however if that clears up then this has potential to multi bag from here.

The beauty of miners is the leverage associated with price increases in the underlying commodity. Static AISC means price increases drop entirely through to the bottom line.

But you haven't got any to offload? If you do, why don't you pre tell the group so that we can identify the trade as proof once you have sold?
