RE: On the growth path4 Apr 2022 19:17
Houston we have a problem! Today’s mini-revival is emblematic of the malaise which surrounds this share. For those who subscribe to the “let the trend be your friend” theory of investing, an exit two years ago would have been the preferred punt.
The overriding question to be asked in any review is how could LR and especially AR remain predominantly silent with regard to the dismal share price performance?
The difficulty now faced is how the trend can be reversed and upward momentum resume?
By now LR would have us believe we would have been seeing significant shareholder returns had his grand five-year plan gone as intended.
I recall LR once trotting out the line that he had no influence over the SP. Oh really? Well if your style of management is to become a virtual recluse and rarely engage with investors, actual or potential, then he may have a point.
And where has the dynamic, dapper chairman AR been throughout these years, holding the BOD to account and steering the Co. strategy? Beats me.
For LR to now go on stage and pitch for new investors to join the party has a ‘Dragon’s Den’ feel to,it. No certainty of outcome.
The new significant US investor who insists on secrecy until the moment is right has a stale, unreliable feel to it after so much delay and radio-silence.
And if the SP does revive, then what of the stale bulls who will quietly seek an earliest exit at or near to break-even? Form an orderly queue.
Bring on the Y/E update and allow us to review where we stand.
