What some cant get their heads around is that the jv model is low risk high return for Newcrest without having to commit billions to buy ggp out. Perfect business sense.

Pretty much have done just topped a other 1.5 k today. Business wise why would you give funding and more jv's, which in time will increase the price of ggp, so in my opinion why would they help ggp to increase its value to pay more to buy it out. Newcrest get the best projects at a great price. Win win for both sides

70p i would feel robbed and the take over is not happening in my opinion, they have thrown to much money at us to grow, they like the partnership and miners are not making the same mistakes they did in the 80's and 90's

panama did you see one of ricks recent interviews? the lower the number the less multiples he thinks it will make so he said he was going to bring a number 2 in as well (one of the companies he is invested in)which means a very safe investment but with very low upside. a 4 means he believes it has many multiples from current SP and is a very good investment, i would say that is the sweet spot a number 4
