Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Shows the frustration many posters now have with Nova surely one of the most uncommunicative concerns in the land. This despite a largely supportive PI base willing the company to succeed. Quite incredible really but no matter how much we huff and we puff it makes not a scrap of difference which tells you something about the company. They clearly rarely tune into this forum and probably think we are all paranoid nutters. As an aside, ValJu, I am quite amazed at the sheer volume of posts you make -- out of interest - are you retired and have taken up residence in the potting shed like some of us?
Guess they want to ring-fence their £100m to cover DHSC dispute outcome and most importantly years of lucrative salary increases. This company provides a new definition of the word abysmal.
Spot on WBAFC. So much time has been wasted in the past through visiting a doctor in the good old days when one could actually see a doctor. This situation is unlikely to improve for many years if at all, so a self diagnosis kit is clearly the way to go for certain aliments and the future. Just wish Nova would broadcast this more - they are SO lacking in this area. One day perhaps, a self diagnosis kit like Scotty in Star Trek used might not be fantasy :)
I agree K. The lack of imagination in capitalizing on this situation from NCYT is pathetic and deeply worrying. I would like to convince myself that our tests are flowing out of the door so need to advertise but one has lost faith in this concern. Now's the time to shout the good news from the rooftops but we clearly do not have any expertise in that dept. and PI's carry absolutely no weight. How long before we are due another update on Company performance?
Let's hope Nova are taking advantage of this situation but still no sign of weighty ads. I would like to think that everyone is working flat out but as usual communications with an element of flair are few and far between. Roll on a new CEO and the genuine article this time but Wakefield comes across as a deflated balloon.
RM used the word 'haste' in one of his updates -- was it a few months ago? Definition of haste: excessive speed or urgency of movement or action. Little sign of this but words are cheap. Hope I am wrong bu tit looks as if SNG will yet again miss the boat regards potential treatment of flu not forgetting Covid still lurking in the background and many are still suffering from long Covid. This is the time that SO many folk suffer from respiratory illnesses but not a cheep from'our hero'. Yes again, an anti climax!

..but there appears little discussion about Sales on this forum nowadays, probably because there aren't any :) The last info' from Nova was pretty dire if I recall and my gut feel is that this may have deteriorated since last report. Contracts (remember those?) appear a thing of the past and the Company's mighty media strategy has been reduced to a few uninspiring Tweets. If ever a company was in need of an inspiring CEO it's NCYT! Let's hope someone is in position by Jan 2023 and that we do not waste yet another year. Next year cannot be any worse than this - or can it!
Rudderless and drifting into oblivion with gold plated Bod increased salaries intact for a few years at least. Yes, despite surely one of the worst run companies around, many of us die hards are dammed if they will relinquish their holding and will cling to the mast as the SA Nova sinks below the waves. Reminiscent of that Jaws scene perhaps but the film had a happy ending did it not.
Nice area all round that coastline. Spent many a happy time there Hopefully the sea breezes blew away the stench of all the seeming inactivity around Nova. I very much doubt I will claw back anything like my considerable losses in my lifetime. Who would have thought we would be in this wretched situation. The mood of the forum is distinctly sour so I will give it a miss until the New Year. Perhaps we will have a new CEO by then... cannot be any worse than the last abysmal failure.
So will the same people who recommended DA as CEO be allowed to suggest the next appointment - surely not. The chairman must also shoulder much of the blame and frankly he comes across to me, at least, as a most ineffective unappealing character and hardly likely to fan the embers of NCYT into flames of recovery. How did we land up with such people! Time for him to go also I suggest.
Sadly a very uninspiring CEO so other than a likely unsettling replacement period let's hope and pray for someone with the imagination to drive the company forward ... but what a wasted 12 months or so!
.. sitting pretty whilst Rome burns as they will still be able to award themselves healthy pay increases year after year as there is still plenty of money in the kitty . This is now really an appalling concern led by an exceptionally poor CEO but who are the fools - sadly shareholders! Like many I will hang onto to the little I have left and try to forget about them. This once proud exciting forum has all but collapsed but I tune in once a week but news is scarce and we scramble for anything remotely connected. Publicity if you can call it that via Twitter is so pathetic. I expect to see a cull in staff soon -- pity it did not start with the BoD but that's wishful thinking.
Item on BBC news last night suggested that Covid numbers in England at least, might have peaked but only time will tell. The main concern was the increase in flu coverng all ages. Which ever way you look at it, hospital beds are scarce and respitory problems remain a huge problem.
