Yes, the potential saving in terms of hospital beds by being able to treat patients at home is invaluable not only in cost but also lives. We really need SNG to pull out all the stops now and that includes alerting the media who appear totally oblivious to the benefits of interferon.
News on Covid certainly in the UK is muted at present despite a steady rise. Not helped I guess by the Liz Truss circus and Ukraine etc. A flu epidemic is also forecast so those suffering on the respitory front are in for a rough time. The NHS we all know it plus the ambulance service is past the breaking point. An 85 Yr old friend of mine with a suspected heart attack and breathing problems waited thirteen and a half hours at A & E last week. 40% of doctors are expected to retire within the next 5 years and I cannot see our cigar smoking minister has a quick fix solution. The existing chaos is likely to accelerate over this winter and become headline news again. Surely any treatment with the potential to keep people out of hospital should receive maximum support from this pathetic govt. but no it will be the US if anyone I suspect.
... that's the 'excitement' over for a few months. I have virtually written off this stock as a life changing loss and suspect I am not alone. Given my age I doubt seeing any payback in my now limited lifespan but I am still loath to sell so will try and put this miserable experience behind me. The only winners will be the salad man and Co. who, should the whole thing go pear shaped, will walk away financially comfortable and onto the next lucrative job. Am past being bitter, only disappointed I have not learned the lessons of previous similar disasters! All too late for me now I am afraid but no one to blame but myself. I feel sorry for the despicable posters who spend so much time here taintinf. this forum playing their own sad little games. What sort of sick people are they. Perhaps it's some sort of ego trip and they clearly seldom think they are playing with some people's lives. Ventura, I hope you managed to salvage something. Good luck and farewell.
... so little enthusiasm and expectation from a forthcoming Nova presentation. Will salad man give us a dollop of salad cream to whet our taste buds or will it be the usual insipid offering. Sadly he has far less oomph than even Sir Keir who at least seems to care about the people he represents. The fact that sadly Covid is gaining momentum again appears to be our only short term chink of light. Who would have thought we would be in this situation.
The only logical reason I can think of is that BOD are unconvinced we will win the Court case and will have to compensate the DHSC. What an incompetent bunch but they are financially bombproof so have nothing to lose. They clearly give not a jot for shareholders and we are powerless to intervene no matter how much ranting on this forum. What a fall from grace!
...I had a sinking feeling the first time I saw and heard DA despite making allowances for his irritating sniff and scruffy appearance. Subsequent rare viewings have still not impressed me -- he is hardly the type one would follow climbing out of the trenches to attack the enemy. Seldom have I come across such an uninspiring CEO and I should have followed my gut instinct and got out soon after he took up the reigns but I am stuck like many others on this forum hoping that one day soon considering my few remaining years left, the tide will turn. At least he has one achievement to his name in that NCYT is easily my worst ever investment and that's saying something! He is clearly a thick skinned individual, completely impervious to shareholders' concerns and seemingly devoid of any emotions. Perhaps he is an android which would explain a lot!
Ventura1. Little expectation from tomorrow's meeting I fear. Our CEO sadly comes across as a lacklustre somewhat uninspiring individual and hardly the type to raise enthusiasm. One wonders how he got this job but it perhaps sums up the calibre of his fellow directors.
Ventura1. We appear a sadly depleted lot now with only a few old timers so to speak hanging on like grim death for better days which I feel sure will happen but doubt in my lifetime. Am just holding to try and claw a little of my losses back. Nova come across as a soulless concern.. probably the wrong phrase... as far as SHs are concerned and this is reflected in the lack of votes re the AGM.
DRB: I suspect you echo the thoughts of many SH's. I have become very disillusioned with Nova and the 'new' CEO hardly sets the heather on fire. I have watched and listened to him carefully several times now but he seems to lack a certain passion and character that one would expect from this position or do I expect too much? He comes across as a rather boring individual. I am holding tight here but will exit as soon as I can claw back some of my massive losses which could take several years. When you think how exciting this forum used to be and the laughs we had -- now, it's very much a damp squib. I will certainly not be voting for any increase for BODS.
