I agree there is no need for a rate rise in December,but it would be okay to have some next year to bring the rate back to where it was in February last year but only when the economy is back to where it was then.
However I do not support your tone about what is going to happen in the wider economy and think like most people that the government in the main are doing the right things.The economy has been supported very well over the last two years and as a country the deficit needs to reduce and I do not believe most people will be worse off as over this period the opposite has happened

Long way still to go as it was over 60p in September.However still a bargain in mho

More buys than sells and price is still down.It should be going up as it looks as if someone is playing around

I tought that this would have reached £2 by the end of last week with a possible rise of 10% when figures are announced and still feel that it is likely to hit £2.2 by the end of this week.The only reason it might not is if the RNS like last time is not that positive going forward but then the price might still go up as someone might decide that they are cheap and take them over.Good luck to all long term holders

I would hope that with firm figures this week that this share could quite easily put on more than 10%this week maybe 20% or more to bring it back to where it was some months ago

In my opinion the only rate rise needed is the amount that would raise rates to what they were before Covid and that could be done during the first half of next year when the economy gets back to where it was at the start of the pandemic any more in my view risks the rise in inflation

Looking at Superdry's Rns today I think that this bodes well for Ted's results next week and although Superdry went down today ,but will recover within days Ted's price should go up as it has not gone up as much as Superdry

Not sure if I read the same RNS as others making comments,but if you read it in depth it was very good indeed.The margin information is transformational and if it continues will boost profits.I am sure that in the next few days the share price will recover.By the way the purchases made by the Directors last week are already making them a profit hence why on the dip today i made some purchases.

Yes a slowdown in growth as they are already doing better than forecast and are keeping their end year estimate intact even though they have banked extra profit from their full price sales which they are going to use for other things so they still intend to end the year with the forecast they put out last month which moved the share price upwards.All I was saying is with that news announced today there should have been little movement and the effect on Marks should have been non existant as Next Shares have done so well recently.

Today Next did a trading statement again doing better than they had planned for only a month ago and cofirming their profit figures.Behold the whole retail sector takes a fright which is mad.Even undervalued shares like Marks,ted Baker and card lose value when really Next's results should have spurred on the under performing shares as they have more scope to grow.

Carrington.I agree with you that this is a strong buy.However in my view the management have not done a wonderful job in running the company over the last five years too many false dawns.If you ask most people about this company they still think they are going downhill and do not realise they are still market leaders and this is from people who should know.I have had a few occasions where I have challenged people to look it up and they are astounded about what a position the company are in.This share has a long way to go but it could get there so much quicker if they had some real on the job retailers in the company rather than number crunchers.The only two good things they have done is their food tie up with Occado and adding other brands to their platform to widen their appeal,somthing that Next has been doing for years.I also hold over 20% of my holdings in this company as I believe that the shares are undervalued and they could be taken out

I just cannot understand you at all.The present management have been in post for over five years and things could have not have gone worse up to last year.The future of this company is bright as it holds such a large share of the market but does portray this in their posts.I have been in the retail industry for many decades and have watched this company throughout the period and they get so many of the basic rules of retail wrong as they do not seem to have any genuine retailers on board any more as there is very little excitement in their stores .However with their base just doing the numbers will give them good figures but not much more when they should be leading the pack

Neil humphreys not a contradiction at all.The present management have made so many mistakes for so long in the end the brand has recovered to a great extent for many reasons ,one being it is a fantastic brand that still has the largest share of the market ,but most people who run the company down do not realise this.As far as retailing is concerned they still do not have a clue and get so much wrong with basic retail jobs.However I did say that I thought they will still be taken out,much really depends on how they present next weeks figures

With figures out next week I am surprised that there has not been a significant rise in the share price.I am sure the figures will show an improvement and even if they are not significantly improved then I am sure they will be taken out as the shares are so cheap so whatever happens it is a win win all the way

With what hopes to be good figures to be posted next week this share should go up to £2.50. Just wonder whether it will pass £2 before then.This must be one of the most undervalued shares and It has much room for improvement in sales and profit growth in the next few years.However I am sure it will be taken out before then as I am not sure if the present management have the skills to take it where it belongs

What the media do not understand is that the headline figures for retails sales are wrong.Retailers do not compare month to month figures but this years month against last year which was most probably up

Good to see an early appointment.However not that happy that these people only seem to stay in their roles for between four and five years and then receive a significant sum to buy out their options.As a ardent capitalist I do think this gravy train is wrong.However the last appointment for this company was a disaster

Can we have some respite on this thread with regards to calling meetings etc.Can we not wait until the case is decided and then see the next RNS.

The next figures should be good although I was in a shop on Sunday and they had run out of helium which meant they had some stock that could not be sold and they did not know when the next delivery would arrive.
