They are very organised they run it like a business its not a new phenomenon. https://drillordrop.com/
Ray1234 The ray of hope gleaned form this complaint, is that it has been raised in response to a positive decision for AST.
After a good read through the 30 page complaint, It does smack of a band of brothers clubbing together to make one last stand after being informed about something they ain't happy about. Fingers crossed, but i must admit It also seems to be giving the impression of upsetting the apple cart. Good luck, folks!
Its not a new complaint its a compilation of historical attempts rolled up in to a concerted effort to try and persuade the deciding body "not"to take the side of AST . It reads like a horror story, an ominous apocalyptic scenario. Total exaggeration designed to scare and use the image of an out of control escaping noxious, poisonous and life threatening chemicals in to the environment.
The rules the whole industry follow are set in place to ensure the above scenario does not happen.
This seems like another attempt at hampering . AST followed all the requests and advice given, then all of a sudden the first of a concerted effort to hamper the progress emerge, that is now being followed up with this complaint. Its basically a focus group with a tactic at try to stop, hinder, stifle, hamper any form of extraction of hydrocarbons under health & safety banner they question and claim how the required rules have been ignored and counter claim in the form of a complaint . This is a never ending plan to stifle progression. Full complaint pdf link http://focus.si/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/OECD-complaint_final.pdf . Its like its become standard practice and should be part of the development programme to counter this rhetoric.
The key ground for appeal is the fact all six government agencies which ARSO is required to consult as part of the screening assessment process concluded no assessment was needed.

This situation with AST is so unbelievable it makes you feel like its a stunt.
Not2Sure It probably wont get past the e-mail filter. If you playback the CC all the points raised are covered. Not exactly
the answers everyone wanted to hear, but in the main I would say they covered everything that most are wanting answers on.
The only problem is they are also not able to predict the outcome and do not have the answers to give. Catch 22.
Hope this helps Max19
