The locals believe it's goint to happen!!
Looking for jobs, hundreds of people leave resumes at a mining company's entrance in Santana..
There is no exact number of how many people there were, but it is estimated that there were hundreds who faced the hot sun this Tuesday morning (28) to deliver their resume and try for a position within a company linked to mining that comes carrying out the restoration work of a historic area in the Center of Santana, in Amapá.
According to information, the queue formed by the candidates began at dawn and reached more than 100 meters in length, leading many to take shelter even in nearby trees or on the other side of one of the lanes on Avenida Santana, the region where the mining company is
André Soares, 34, told the blog that he has been unemployed for over three years and was one of the first to arrive at the site in search of an opportunity. According to him, it is increasingly difficult to get a place to work in the city.
“I need the service, I have a family to take care of, I need to pay rent. Here is very difficult service, many people waiting. I have already received proposals to leave Amapá, but I believe that the business here can change”, he says.
Looking for an opportunity for two years, the young Sânilla Tavares, 22, agrees with the lack of jobs in the state. To get a job, she came from the municipality of Porto Grande – which is more than 110km from the capital of Amapá – to just leave her resume at the mining company's entrance.
“I've been hearing talk since last week that mining services are going to resume and that they were only accepting résumés around here for Santana, I came in my face and courage, because I believe I can get a job”, believes the young woman.
Despite the significant number of people who just wanted to leave their résumé, a company employee (vigilant) informed the people present that the receipt of résumés had been terminated, but that a new future date would be informed to receive such documents.
The blog tried to contact those responsible for the mining company, but only one person (who asked not to be identified) informed us that the administrative services are already well advanced, where buildings and vehicles are undergoing renovations and adaptations.
When asked about the ore stored in the mining company's area, they informed us that part of the ore has been transported in trucks and taken to an area adjacent to the Amcel chip plant.
We were also informed that, in relation to the houses that were illegally erected on the railroad tracks - which will also undergo full physical recovery - the aforementioned area will be reintegrated into the mining company's patrimonial system, in order to serve for the reactivation and use of the company's existing locomotives , which will serve to transport ores from the Serra do Navio region to the port region of Santana.
