The fat lady might be warming up but she hasn't started singing yet. I took an almighty shafting around this time last year with a small pharma who promised the earth and delivered a turd (at best). All I know is the best thing I did was to tell those that matter, regroup and accepted help when it is offered. The future may hold roses. We just don't know yet. The worst may not happen. Hang on in there!

Some really random things. A few to mention:-
Perfume / aftershave etc - some smell so bad of chemicals so as to make me feel physically sick
Coffee - smells like the bottom of a bin
Beer - tastes of tin
Many things taste overly salty or sweet
Peas - taste sour (FOR GOODNESS SAKE- WHAT DID PEAS EVER DO TO ANYONE!)
Some food just doesn't taste of anything at all
It sounds like nothing but it is soul destroying when the thing you love so much goes overnight. A love of food turns into a fear of food due to not knowing what something will taste of. The familiar smells of home, you know the one. You open the front door and you know you're home with you eyes closed - gone. The smell of your favourite perfume / aftershave gone replaced by putrid smells. No more fragranced soaps / shampoo. The smell of gas if you leave the hob on - gone.

only benefit - public toilets - can't small a thing.

Each day (and smell and taste) as it comes.

I appreciate this isn't the purpose of this board but I and some friends are still struggling to recover our sense of taste & smell months / years after Covid. Has anyone heard of any trials / tests / treatments for such things. Getting remarkably fed up of things smelling like they shouldn't and food tasting 'wrong'. Any help appreciated.

Steve196, I was always under the assumption that any product produced by Sareum would be in oral tablet form. I think an invasive suppository wouldn't be attractive to market. Obviously pleased with the movement today and i really do hope it keeps going but at the back of my mind all i have is the thought...what if they had released this news back in Feb. What if they had taken more time and analysed the results fully before releasing the data. I appreciate you can't live on what ifs but bugger me i think we'd all have been much happier today than we are now.

Always, I suspect there are many people having those thoughts today. No rush decisions today. Sit tight and ride the inevitable storm. Shares are often win or lose with nothing in between. Perhaps broker share portfolios are the way to go in the future. Less risk but still a bit of the thrill of the chase? Good luck.

If ever there was a time to sit tight, reflect on what's good in life, it's now. If you hold health and happiness then the money is a bonus. Treat it that way. Learn from our "mistakes" and move on.
