So is there scope potentially to buy / merge with a company that already has a license? Wouldn't be a bad use of funds. Totally ignorant of the ins and outs that would take and the cost.

or maybe they had money but needed more. whether the loan is at arms length or not, nobody lends 10m without some due diligence. someone, somewhere has put their hand in their pocket and lent 10m on an unsecured basis. that's rare as rocking horse ****. might be completely wrong but does demonstrate some value in the background.

Maybe, but sometimes issuing proceedings focuses the mind. It can also make people intransigent. Who knows which way this will go.

Even with the old accountants helping them (loosely, I suspect), the new accountants will still want to verify the figures as it will be their name on the accounts. They won't simply accept the figures arrived at by the old accountants, not least from an insurance perspective. As such, I think it will be weeks before the accounts are ready to be published. The fact that there is a delay doesn't necessarily suggest a problem. It is more likely a result of the new accountants repeating work already carried out by by the old accountants. The requirements are really quite onerous so no surprise they are taking their time.

I might be being stupid but my HL is showing I'm making a loss on GST today and showing a price of .70.

I don't agree. Most companies will borrow or raise if an opportunity arises so long as cash flow projections allow for the repayments - if it means they can leverage an opportunity. If there is 4.2m in the bank it probably means that profit has been made. The exercise of trying to differentiate between profit and raised funds is largely impossible without audited accounts and almost irrelevant. If the balance is 4.2m then they have either used profit for acquisitions and saved the raised money or vice versa. Either way imo they have made profit, otherwise there would be deficit not a positive cash balance.
