Do you mean they have to buy it 'by' 4.30 pm or 'at' 4.30 pm Jerry? Can they just walk in on the bell and say "I'll have £10 million quids worth of shares my good man and yes I have my own bag thank you?"

What if the mms don't have it? They can't get them from us lot because the market will be closed and that is a hell of a lot of shares. It seems inevitable the trading would move into Monday unless this little 'shake n vac' works loose all of those remaining required shares today.

I am of that school of thought addicknt. On behalf of or simply to sell back to the market on Monday as a bit of carpet-bagging.

You will glean a bit about how the market is manoeuvred to meet the needs of large buyers (and sellers), who skulk around in the background, as well as information about the Junior Gold Miners Index we are about to join.

ok, this might seem very, very simplistic but what would prevent the index simply saying to GGP, "Sorry guys, we made a mistake. We should have bought more shares if we had done the maths right but we didn't so that is that. It is our choice. We can put in who we want and allocate as much to the fund as we wish".
