The best shareholders can hope for is a David Cameron/Thomas Cook scenario. (Debenhams has been around even longer - since 1778 in fact). There are many who believe Ashley's holding is bogus. Proving this and what/who he has been loaning his shares to is proving more difficult - so far....

They are in the last chance saloon make no mistake and IMO is the only card they have left.

£200M+ would wipe out most of the debt and risk thus making it far less of a short target.
The SP would rocket IMO.

Also FYI until the past few weeks management have repeatedly been saying they only have one loss making store.
