Europe has already been through a recession, October through March. Eurozone inflation is down to 6% and as low as 3% in Spain. That should help over the Spring and Summer coupled with lower energy prices.

The UK may not have had a technical recession yet barely escaping by a tenth or two but earnings recession most certainly has already occurred over the last 12 months so how much more bad news do the bears and short sellers have to price in? I thought the market was forward looking....

The bears talk about a recession. Europe has already had a recession! October-March. The recession has already happened and yes the UK barely survived but it has certainly had an earnings recession.

The market has its favourites as I keep saying. M&S is suddenly back in favour with hedge funds. Centrica same. In the States tech names are allowed to trade at insane multiples, 100+ even.

Banks there trade at 10x earnings; here Barclays and Lloyds are held down by short sellers so only trade at 4-5x earnings.

There is nothing fair or regulated about the market.

As more people ditch their expensive cars and use more public transport, don't you think?

The lack of initiative and drive by some of these CEO's and boards makes you wonder how they got the job in the first place. Look at the disasters at Avon Protection, Synthomer and Ocado to name just 3. Staggering incompetence and lack of drive yet rewarded with fat cat salaries in the millions. Mad.

You do realise PI's do not influence a share price right?

Yes there is support at 10p but it could just as easily shoot back up to 20p as it did only a few weeks ago.

When EU and US banks are at 10x earnings?

Ocado was worth £30 in 2021. Less than 2 years later it was as low as £3.50 a few days ago.

Is the company only worth 10% of what it was in 2021.

The UK market in particular is fickle, stupid, irrational and yes rogue as f*ck.

Was CEO when the 1 billion acquisition was made in 2021 so ultimately he is most culpable. Most likely sunning himself on a beach somewhere now. MacLean has committed the financial equivalent of suicide. The muppet at Avon Rubber (now Protection) did the same thing. Absolute thickos.
