Interesting. The likelihood of success of this being adopted widely is dependent on the probability of the verification being correct. I have no idea what the regulatory authorities (or the users) might reasonably accept as a satisfactory probability but if the regulators accept this then this is a potential game changer for the company. Would it be unrealistic to expect that globally all sewage plants were required to use this?

I have been consistently bearish about this company, more specifically the management teams ability to commercialise the company's technology, and this remains a concern, but this new development has the potential to transform the fortunes of the company IMHO.

As a far as I, and anyone else can ascertain, there is nothing in the MW portfolio that can detect any viruses, far less Covid-19.

I can certainly see that detection of viruses in waste water might be an excellent route for early detection of Covid-19 and other viruses but I just do not see how this is relevant to MW. As far as I can make out MW has no capability to detect Covid-19, or indeed any other viruses, in its product portfolio contrary to the impression given by some on this Board. The company has technology that can detect bacteria but it does not seem to me to imply that it can detect viruses.

The company does have a number of sensors in situ and it is possible that these might be retrofitted but there is no knowing if this is technically possible even if there was appropriate technology and they could access that technology.

Judging by the SP it is not just me who does not see the link - if there was a link then I am sure that we would see a leap in the SP. After giving some hints the company has said little or nothing since. They should clarify the situation either way.

History shows that this has been a truly shocking long term investment. Something needs to change and I suspect that a good place to start is management.

They have good technology and IP. Management have been shocking at commercialising it. The management team have consistently failed to deliver sales or projects including Gib. Maybe the new BoD will be better at cracking the whip or will replace the executive team. The jury is still out on management/BoD. I am not sure that there is much relevance for Coronavirus but I might be shown to be completely wrong - certainly the company are suggesting there is. If there was then I suspect that governments would be all over this - but they are not.
I am intrigued by Gib reappearing on the website. The Gib contract (£20m++was supposed to have been lost months ago. If so why is it on the website?
I have been a consistent sceptic on this stock and that has been proven to be a good call. However, the SP is getting to a level that it maybe worth a punt. However, management have consistently failed to deliver and I have no faith in them whatsoever. A new credible management team would be the precursor to a SP rerating.

riddler just endlessly parrots what management says and provides little or no analysis. If you had followed his advice on MW over the last year you would have lost about 95%.

I see that MW are still trumpeting the Gibraltar project on their home page. They lost that months ago. A bit sad that they have not amended but symptomatic of the carelessness of this company and a reminder of the failure of their previous promises.

Unfortunately management have consistently failed to successfully commercialise technology and see no reason why this will change. The Chairman needs to clearout the long term underperforming management team - only then is their hope for this company.

In the mean time the SP has fallen below the recent deeply discounted rights issue.

The problem is no one actually believes any announcement from this company as so often the have been proven to be false - I would be happy to give numerous examples for those who have not been following this company for long. If this was a real announcement it would be an RNS or similar not a tweet.

Unfortunately management have a dire record of converting opportunities into sales.

In the meantime cash will continue to dribble away.

If you were foolish enough to follow riddler on this one you would have lost your shirt (and trousers!). There were lots of us who warned about the ramping and were abused by riddler and his fellow rampers.

I think that there have been a few of us on here that have being saying for some time that the management were not up to it. We have also being saying that the technology is rather good but management were completely in capable of commercially exploiting it.

The interesting question will be if Brandon does start to make some traction on the commercialisation what will happen to MWG. I am not at all sure that MWG shareholders will enjoy all/any of the upside. What’s for sure is that the current management team are incapable of looking after shareholders interests.

This share is really not doing your credibility any favours

The company was awarded preferred bidder status. However, they spent over 4 years trying to close the deal but failed. They ran out of money and ended up having to appoint administrators to the subsidiary who was the preferred bidder leaving behind a trail of creditors. Utter shambles.

After almost 4.5 months there is still no update on the sales process - that is simply unacceptable.
