There is also the market for face covering filters. I bought a washable decorative fabric face covering recently and it came with 2 carbon based filters which slide inside the fabric envelope. That is the filter not the fabric. Consumables are always a money spinner and we have one which kills the virus spores not just traps them. How many times have we been told to remove a disposable face covering carefully, because the virus spores are only trapped. I'd rather they were neutralized to minimize the risk. We're also then tapping the market which doesn't want to wear the standard paper mask.
