AN observation, but the book ticked up again this morning (slightly) but with no corresponding prints.

It happened the other day - I thought we would see a delayed sizeable print, but we didn't.

So its odd, and I don't know what to make of it. All I can say is that one MM has lifted their quoted bid, so the obvious conclusion might be they are trying to attract sellers. Either that, or they are painting the tape to make it look more attractive?

As I say, its just odd.

Volume has been huge over the last week or so.

Too much for just retail in my view. Auction activity supports that.

Next news could easily be a TR1, or TR1’s, detailing significant new shareholders, institutions most likely but potentially also strategic partners. Alphabet does run investment arms after all….

Picture Whitespace at the back end of last year. They see what’s coming down the track, and the huge potential it offers for them. They need to best position themselves to benefit. They need capital mkt access, and increased credibility within defence circles. They start talking to us, a main market company, about partnerships. We start talking to military heavyweights with the lure of attractive warrants in a liquid listed stock (something WS can’t do) Through those heavyweights we oil the procurement wheels whilst WS build the tech in collaboration with the M7.

To my mind this is a partnership benefitting both sides, and both have done their bit to best position Defence Technologies for a sticky and long term relationship with the MoD which could, ultimately, become the backbone of future U.K. defence operations.

Im a real novice on this front but, in that context (!) the charts look great to me.

Doji on the daily sticks on Thursday with long lower wick but longer higher wick

Importantly, yesterday we closed well above the Thursday doji upper wick.

Just looks well set up for a bullish continuation but, as I say, I am a novice at this!!

The other question of course is where that huge auction buying interest is coming from. It’s unlikely to be us lot - as far as I know we don’t have access to auctions. More likely, at least I think, is that there is a large institutional buy order being worked by the MM’s. It was no coincidence for me that the sharp intraday fall we saw yesterday was worked right up until the lunchtime auction, during which the MM’s could fill some of the order. Price rose immediately after the auction closed.

That was the uncrossing trade following the closing auction. What was more interesting was the auction itself which, like every auction through yesterday, showed huge buy interest with large bidders offering to pay higher than ASK to improve their chances of getting filled, but little sell interest to fill them even at those prices.

In short, the demand far outstripped supply, and the message from sellers was that bidders, if you want stock you’ve got to offer to pay more.

You are of course right StockMaiden - this remains speculative until contracts are announced.

Some might look to caution until that point. But based on everything I’ve seen I’m less cautionary.

DH are the money and the marketing (within military/govt circles and capital markets). WS are the operational tech.

Interesting as well that this tender was published 19/8, the same day we announced the formal partnership with Whitespace.

Much has been said about the fact, as of right now, there is no MoD contract. So I had a look for current MoD tenders that might be a fit for us.

Digital Decision Accelerators for Defence (DDAD. £180m 6 year framework agreement. DDAD is explicitly an MoD procurement to create an open framework for advanced digital “decision” capabilities — essentially supplier access to provide AI/decision-support tools, analytics and services to Defence. A sovereign, deployable AI product aimed at information advantage / decision advantage is directly in scope. This is a framework agreement - suppliers will be appointed with contracts awarded during the period of the agreement via call-offs.

Of particular note, framework award decision are likely to be made end of November early December this year. We’ve been told “ Project Ixian will enter its first phase of value realisation in December, marking a key milestone in its commercial rollout”

All seems to fit nicely doesn’t it.

Always worth remembering as well, I think, that news announced now will invariably have been perhaps many months in the planning/negotiation. Things don’t just happen. Initial discussions between WS and DH will have started months before we were told about the rebrand. Lord Houghton would have been courted. Whitespace will have been talking to and collaborating with both the M7 (Google), the MoD and perhaps Oracle. Corporate structuring and news flow roadmaps will have been carefully planned out.

All that prior effort is only just coming to light. Other negotiations, plans, projects will I’m sure be currently underway, for future. As we’ve been told, Ixian is just the first.

For my money we are already deeper in with the MoD and it’s wider plans for sovereign defence than what, at least for now, we’ve been told.

I agree.

The warrants were exercised at 0.0325. The only people granted warrants exercisable at the price were our new Directors (as per the July prospectus).

I cannot see why they sell given we’re only at the launchpad, and they know that more than most!

By the huge buy side auction interest, I would not be at all surprised to find that we have an Institutional buyer with an order the MM's are working.

Lets face it, why wouldn't institutions want in.

And now even more bidders, including a new one for 3m shares at 1.55. Very little sell interest.

And what do ya know - massive buying interest in the auction again with over 30 bidders as far as I can see. Our two large 1m bidders are back in, this time offering 1.58.

Call me a cynic, but its interesting to note that the price got dragged down here just as we are approaching the next auction.
