G20 nations to inject $5tn into global economy
The G20 nations have pledged to inject $5 trillion (£4tn) into the global economy to try and combat the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

The announcement came at the end of a virtual summit hosted by Saudi Arabia.

The profits in gas production will offset losses on oil production. RRE can postpone CAPEX. RRE can also buy another profitable gas asset to further offset oil production losses. Just a thought...;o))

Costs for future de-commissioning may have to be paid for partly by a bond issue should prices remain low. Looking forward to RRE outlook next week. Hopefully dividend in tact.

Chloroquine: Could it be used in treatment?
It's been around for decades to treat malaria but there has been lots of talk about whether chloroquine can help Covid-19 patients. President Trump said on Thursday that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had approved the drug for use in treating the new coronavirus, but that's not true. It's an approved drug for malaria, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, but that's it.

But there is some hope. Some doctors say it has appeared to help Covid-19 patients, and lab studies show it seems to block the virus.
However, and this is crucial, clinical trials are still under way.

Trials in France have already proved this drug works against COVID-19...;o)))

plus the same applies for the Euro gas assets.

its not a case of head in the sand. Without a scientific breakthrough I reckon social distancing will last for at least 1 year. International travel will require strict testing and quarantine for the foreseeable future. The economic fallout is not worth thinking about.

I may be wrong on this but the way I see it. All this lock down is to prevent deaths and healthcare overload. Scientists are going to crack this. There are drugs already available like Malaria, Ebola drugs already being proved to kill Corona Virus in tests on patients. Patients are recovering very quickly once the drug is administered. I just think we may be back to full steam ahead quicker than anticipated. There are 10,000 scientists in the US alone working on this. Plus this test that can tell you if you have had the virus. We will be OK !!

Scientists are going to crack the COVID-19 problem. They are already getting close. Existing drugs are being used to kill the virus. Stay safe folks.

Its worth noting that RRE get about $3 above brent prices. Maybe RRE can strike a new hedging deal with customers to ensure no loss of supply.

I think if I was diagnosed with COVID-19 in Russia I would deffo run away from hospital. I wouldn't be surprised if patients went in hospital and non of them ever came out again. They have ways of suppressing things don't they. Putin will have to stop wrestling bears.

I don't think Russia are admitting the scale of the problem they are going to face. I see a new hospital is being quickly built outside Moscow, but reports suggest patients are running away from hospital once diagnosed. Hopefully Russia will return to the OPEC+ negotiating table when the scale of their economic collapse hits home.

So the trading house or market makers must be sitting on millions of shares. So presumably they can sell to each other to create a false sense of panic selling?

Here is a question for all you smart people.

Say a company has 13m shares in issue but there is selling over a prolonged period and the price crashes. Technically there aren't 13m holders of the shares, there can't be. So when a dividend is paid, do the company pay out on 13m shares ? If yes who gets the payment for the shares not "owned"

Just imagine December, some sort of normality and HALO relist at £1.50. That may be as good as it gets, id happily take that at this stage.

In fact one positive from a suspension now would be that there won't be a huge sell off on relist there would be a huge buying volume...;o))

WHEN RRE does recover it will move so fast. I do hope we suspend asap and can look forward to that relist in 6 months time..;o))
