Sean - We do have the option for 5p shares ourselves (i.e. as existing holders), but you have to be a holder as at tomorrow. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong. I am not interested in anymore myself anyway so haven't really looked into it (I am fully loaded, and my average happens to be 5p anyway!).
Best,
Mr T
I totally agree dsc. A lack of understanding coupled with feelings of being a jilted lover due to the 5p placing.
It is sad to see the knee jerks daft. Especially from some until now, passionate and loyal holders.
This will come good. The funding VLS have secured is a springboard. Bring on the next announcements!
Best,
Mr T
Awfully managed. 5p is not acceptable for existing holders. Still, amazing how rapidly it got oversubscribed and £20m was raised!
But. I am here for the duration anyway, so this will be a mere blip on our journey to greatness.
GLA,
Mr T
Sean. I totally get your frustration. But, just hold on. You know better than most the immense potential here. This fresh cash will help unlock it. Focus on the fundamentals and remember this is a long term play. :-)
Best wishes mate. I hope you stay with us for the exciting journey ahead.
Mr T
After my initial grumpiness earlier, I actually feel more positive about this company now than before the placing was announced!
This affair will be a distant memory in no time. I am in for the long haul whatever anyway!
Best,
Mr T
I have been invested here for years. I recently averaged down heavily before the recent big rises. I have been around long enough to understand that placings are not always a bad thing for existing shareholders, and that VLS needs funding one way or the other so it is not a surprise to me that this is happening. The cash generated will be used to add further value for us all in the fullness of time, I have no doubt.
BUT...the way that the placing is being done does not seem (on the face of it) to provide existing holders preferential treatment (not that I would be able to take advantage anyway given that I am penniless having averaged down recently as I said).
I still keep the faith, and believe in whitto that this is a good place to be invested.
Best,
Mr T
On first glance, my take is that this a complete shafting of existing shareholders. Please can somebody restore my faith?! I have all but the kitchen sink in this share already. I cannot afford additional shares. But they might be as low as half of the price of today's close. Can somebody please give me a positive spin for existing shareholders like me that cannot afford additional shares, and do not wish to sell up and risk not being able to acquire the same holding back through the placing (which looks like a complete faff of a process logistically in itself).
Best,
Mr T
VLS. ;-)
A lot of people will have learnt some valuable lessons the last few days. It will be painful now, but those lessons will serve them well in future. I speak from experience, believe me.
GLA.

Mr T
I know swansea. I can understand that people are blaming the basic economic concept of supply and demand rather than MM tactics because I myself used to think that stocks operated like the real world. But, as I said earlier, city boys look after city boys. The market is rigged. You live and learn. I have learnt, which is why I am relaxed about the behaviour of the SP the last few days.
This is an awesome company with immense government backing. Patience and nerve.
Best,
Mr T
I feel that another eloquent message from a legend of this board is needed to highlight the merits of the Altalto project in order to steady the ship. I fear that people are losing sight of the big picture here. :-)
Best
Mr T
P. S. Other VLS business ventures are available! There is a US Altalto equivalent at a similar exciting point in its life. VLS also sell their reactors to third parties.
Yep. Why people are on here dismissing the concept of "MM games" is completely beyond me. Private investors are fleeced to the benefit of institutional investors. The city boys look after each other. Simple.
Hold onto your shares.
Best,
Mr T
I agree Sean. You and I are always on the same page. :-)
My position here is massively 'overweight' versus the rest of my investments. I have more cash invested here than I could have dreamed in the short term (owing to last week's rises). I have been fighting against the immediate gratification side of my brain which wanted to take the profit and run. But...I have been invested in VLS for years waiting for the full potential to be realised. With the confidence I have in this business, which has has been bolstered significantly by recent progress, I am not about to give up being patient now. So, I continue to be 'all in' for the long haul!
Bring on the next announcements!
Best,
Mr T
I took a small punt here this morning. I wish I could afford buy more. I'm surprised we are not seeing a 'FOMO' effect (or if we are, a bigger one) ahead of the government announcement on the 2m rule expected tomorrow.
Anyway, glad to be aboard albeit in a small way. GLA! :-)
Best,
Mr T
Don't underestimate the kid. It looks like one of them is the fruit & veg team leader. A real mover and shaker.
He has got a full year under his belt as a supermarket assistant at Waitrose though. So, he knows his onions.
Jokes aside. How desperate are Seeking Alpha for contributors?! :-/
Best,
Mr T
