Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Bladdeman,
Agreed let's keep our focus on Clon with its diverse portfolio of exciting projects.
Looks as if overhang cleared and clear blue sky ahead. Volume needs to keep up and the sp will follow.
I'm looking for 1 or 2p here eventually, which with a good run is possible.
Mr T
Bladderman,
Really, is it? have you told that to China, India!! et al?
China who will hold the West to ransom eventually because of its utterley stupid aims!!
By the way for several weeks of the current year, it has been cheaper to run a petrol vehicle rather than an EV, and that is before you start adding on the costs of buying the things and servicing when they go tits up!!
Carry on though.
Mr T
Asimpleinvestor,
You are 100% correct.
Put it this way, EV's are for the wealthy primarily or ECO warriors who believe they are saving the planet, lol!!
I won't go into the effects on the planet of finding and digging up materials for batteries, then attempting to get rid of used batteries!!
My god that doesn't bear thinking about!!!
Mr T

Very interesting meeting I had last week with a consultant, interior designer for cars. His work is a bit thin on the ground at the minute, it's being sent to China and India. He,to my surprise thought and agreed with me. He also said that Germany is the ruling country for vehicle technology. Not even the US can function in its motor manufacturing sector without German input!!!
The Germans in particular BMW are beginning to reduce their interest in EV's, have they seen the light, probably, but certainly they are no longer fixed on timescales towards the EV revolution!!!!
Don't take much notice of companies such as JLR. They are in a niche market, its the Germans who will or will not lead us to your EV revolution!!
We will see.
Mr at
Watching,
Yes and most under duress and government intervention?
There is a problem now with UK exporting EV's, the EU wrote into the brexit deal that if the vehicles manufactured in the UK do not contain at least 50% of UK manufactured materials then they will be subject to export duty on all exported vehicles out of the UK. No battery plants in the UK hence the problems now arising. Potential private investors pulled the plug on a UK battery plant? therefore investment has dried up??
Problems, problems, and that is without the extortinate cost to repair both EV and Hybrids??? and Hybrids being deadly unless you have specific knowledge of how to work on them?? voltage? and all of the internal equipment is connected to the Hybrid systems!!
A case in point, last year I bumped into a chap transporting a Fiat 500 EV battery from the South to the Midlands, the cost of the battery alone, £13K, to fit it, £19K, those were the dealers words???
If anyone wants to buy an EV good luck, but they will not be for me or many millions I'm afraid.
Mr T
Mannan,
I dont, I also believe it will be nothing like a revolution!! certainly not in the UK, the infrastructure and money required just isnt there, or never will be imo.
Also the more you look into EV's the more ungreen they are, but as the "experts" are always right let them carry on with the nonsense???
Remember Diesels!!!! they were really good according to all the experts!!
Look at it now, claims all over the bloody place, miselling and exaggerated facts that were never true, well what do you expect from politicians and experts, most couldnt tell the truth if their lives depended on it!!
Still, good for Clon, but Clon also have fossil fuel assets, good ones at that, so irons in both camps if you like.
Mr T
Silver,
I have not held this stock for 5 years!!! I bought in around 2020, so going on 3 years.
Agreed, I was, but I am now begionning to lose patience, there has not been any substantial positive news for a long time now, but, Bird always puts his spin on it!! The problem here is obvious, there is a huge delay surrounding Hope, but we do not receive any updates on any of our ongoing projects. As I pointed out the other week, I see no reason why BZT cannot update the market quarterly regarding Mankayan!! do you?
As we know many CEO's are akin to politicians, they find it difficult to be truthful!!! I did think Bird was different, but, I am now beginning to wonder. There is still time but 2023 is well underway and diddly has happened here so far apart from the cash call!
Mr T
2 after hour buys by the looks of it?
Still no news and heading tor July??
Anyone remember Colin telling everyone we would be mining in 2023!!!
When, asked, will we be mining in 2023, Colins reply, oh god yes!!!!
Anyone remember??????
Jeez we do all get fed some bull****, don't we!!!!
I know, I know, Colin has no control of this or that, then why tell us blatant rubbish!!!
Anyone?
Mr T
Firefly,
Didn't we all!!! many have been here for many a year!
The endless delays do not help, we were told by CB that the Hope licence was a shoe in and the authorities were as keen as mustard to approve any such licence application. Then there was a change in government and it appears now not to be a shoe in!! so the wait goes on and on and on!!
Mr T
Silver
It may be a huge project but, it has been on the go for many a year.
So what is the plan. It must be to raise finance to take it through to production, via either a listing or private/commercial finance.
It is stated to be a world class asset, therefore if the case surely investors will be interested?
AP are in the process of concluding finance for their mine in Namibia, therefore why wouldn't you raise the required funding for Mankayan?
Now your point regarding no benefit for years for BZT is a little misleading isn't it or negative. If an IPO was announced tomorrow I'm sure BZT share price would rocket. Then we will have opportunity to sell all or part of our 26% on a listing!
So I would say any benefit could be huge and immediate for BZT but we are in limbo?
As for updates, you are correct, which is my point really, if not a listed entity and we hold 27% what are the reasons we do not receive updates quarterly. There are no listing rules to follow for Mankayan, its not a listed entity, as there are with RNS's from listed entities, therefore I cannot understand why on earth bzt cannot update the market and us through an RNS from BZT. Is this breaking any rules? I don't think so.
It appears lazy to me to not issue any such updates, we know activity is ongoing, we know our man out there is a BZT director, he must know what is going on. This appears to all be kept secret and BZT as a shareholder are being kept in the dark? Do you believe this?
If you were a shareholder in a private Company would you not want to know what the hell is going on!!! I certainly would, its my money??
So I ask this question to anyone, what is the point in holding a share in a world class copper asset but receiving no information, news or anything about the bloody thing?
I can't understand it, perhaps someone has the answer?
Mr T
Silver,
This from March 2022
https://www.voxmarkets.co.uk/articles/bezant-resources-hails-25-year-agreement-renewal-at-mankayan-project-bc8cfb7/
So the question is, what the heck is happening??
All we have heard is that ongoing drilling and sampling is ongoing, oh and a cash raise!!!
If we own 27% of this asset then I would have though shareholders should be updated quarterly? as it is a non listed entity? None of this, the management are not likely to tell us what is going on!!!
Ronnie Siapno is on our board of Directors? he is our contact on Mankayan?
Are we saying that he has no idea what is going on!!!
Mr T
Banzai,
Shortly means "imminently" for the ill informed!!!
Think about it, these processes, we are led to believe, can take up to 12 months!!!! We submitted in July 2022??? is that difficult to comprehend?
No I thought not, its simple from where I'm sitting?
I like your commitment though, mine is waining I have to say!
Mr T
Banzai
Fair point, but this has now been ongoing for 12 months!!!!! Ffs
It would be good to issue an update of some sort even if to say "the licence application is ongoing and we are confident that it will be approved shortly!!!"
In the meantime work is ongoing at Hope and finance has been agreed in principal!!
More details will follow shortly.
There you go!!!
Mr T
Pricey,
A sound summary of where and what we are. I agree not a chance it will go pop, but, I think we are arriving at the point whereby something needs to happen. We have had 12 months of words of wisdom from CB, the outcome? absolutely zero!
I agree with your final sentiment, what harm would it do!!!
WE still have some cracking assets here all yet to be realised in any shape or form!!
Mankayan, 27% of a World class asset - doing diddly?
Hope, another cracking copper/gold asset, doing diddly!
Eureka, again a potential world class copper asset, doing diddly?
Kayne?
How much longer should we wait?
Mr T
Everycloud and SOS,
I agree and thank you for the information, I cant be bothered to look anymore I must admit!!!
Maybe it is time the Shareholders group took action here and set up a call with Colin to see exactly what the heck is going on!
Twelve months since this licence application and no response from the authorities is not realistic imo, Colin clearly stated the Namibiam government were as keen as mustard on this project, then why is there such a hold up? is it related to the changes in government and they are not so keen? what is it?
I don't mind cash raises, but, what I do mind is having the raise against the usual blather about what it is for then complete and utter silence.
I suspect in the backgroud, Pricey is on the money here, too much here is focused on finance, the loan will be renegotiated I have no doubt with that, but, we need some focus on the projects in hand and something to get the sp off it's ar**!!
Prickly, are you reading all of this, I assume you are still a large holder???
What's your take on all of this?
Mr T
Pricey,
Agreed, appalling. Considering we are supposedly coming to final stages of our main project, ie licence and funding you would think would you not that news would be emerging on a timely basis!!!
What's happening at Kanye? anyone? last update Feb 2023 with further news to follow, but silence?
Yes we know that Colin can't control the authorities and essentially tell us when the licence approval is going to be, but, surely there must be further work ongoing at Hope that is relevant? or is it just sitting there gathering dust?
Updates required here immediately imo as this is dragging on far too long and the sp is a rock bottom.
Colin says that he thinks BZT will be a 100M valued company in the not too distant future, does he still think this?
Mr T
Further news at AFP today regarding their copper play. Looks as if they require funding though, so could be the reason. Demonstrates at least CB is active!! some suggest he takes the summer off?
Anyone had any contact with him recently? re BZT? I know the shareholder group said that no further calls with CB would be arranged until the licence is announced!!!
I think we need to know is this imminent? does anyone know when it will be issued?
News here is virtually nil?
Considering the number of projects we have on the go to have no news on either for months is very disconcerting?
I remember CB referred to Eureka many months ago during one RNS, is anything going on here?
Some news please Colin?
Mr T
Burnemc,
Lets us hope you are correct!!
The one point regarding Clon is they appear to be able to raise funds instantly, there are obviously very supportive backers involved here. This last placing was somewhat a surprise and quite small for Clon, it was done very quickly so the money is required for something urgently imo!
The dilution of this last raise is tiny so no worried with that, possibly flushed through already, now though I think Clon need to get the market fully onboard and provide regular updates regarding this lithium venture.
I note that they repeatedly refer to Ghana in every raise RNS!!! but nothing ever transpires!!!
News on this front would transform our sp here
Also they refer to our Australian venture! western Gas I assume, again, nothing has been forthcoming on that venture since last year!
Some on here insist this is dead in the water! I on the other hand are not so sure, again significant news from this and the sp will react accordingly.
I would like to see the sp over .20 within a month if possible, that would set us up nicely for forthcoming updates on the Lithium venture.
Mr T
