Trump has failed to tackle the pandemic, his international policies are a complete failure and out of spite and jealousy he spent most of his time undoing anything that Obama achieved.
Biden has at least taken the Good Friday agreement seriously which you may recall brought to an end the decades of bloodshed in Ireland !
I have yet to see any evidence that Biden wishes to cause any international conflict and if his family have anything to answer for then no doubt the US authorities will take the appropriate action .

An exit agreement on the terms demanded by our government is impossible to achieve .
The EU is worried about trade to the European block and our government is only concerned about political popularity, there can be no winner on all points, but there can be an agreement based on compromise .
As discussed previously it really isn't possible to ring fence Centamin from current events, international affairs or politics because as we all know only too well their effects on the markets indices .
By all means discuss Centamin, although as I recall if the discussion is to be dependant upon your contributions of information about the company then it would be a very short one indeed.

Thank you for your reply with your opinion of the board and your thoughts on the Brexit debate, its good to hear that you have so far found this forum interesting and of use, all due credit to its well informed and helpful past and present members.
For many reasons I find it frustrating and very depressing that the UK looks destined to be outside of Europe very soon, but I appreciate others feel differently and see Brexit as some sort of opportunity, I really hope that my fears and reservations about the future of our country outside of Europe are proven to be groundless, I fear they wont be, but will be happy to be proven wrong!

The UK has also had 4 years to resolve this and it is the UK who agreed to abide by the rules including the membership fee's and the T & C of leaving.
The EU has never disputed UK sovereignty, it was the UK parliaments decision to adopt EU laws and give them precedence over UK law, our parliament could have opted out of many of them and in fact it was our parliament who actually made many EU Laws and regulations more complicated than they were intended.
When consider the huge discount the UK enjoyed on EU membership and all the benefits of the free trade, free health care to visitors , no green card to drive in the EU and no need for visa' to live anywhere in the EU and all EU grants various areas of the UK has enjoyed it makes no sense to leave.
Considering the way the UK has behaved like a spoiled child the EU has been more than reasonable,certainly patient when considering all the extra work this has caused our EU partner countries .
Boris and Farage have admited the claimed savings on the side of the Brexit bus to the UK were fabrications, Ireland will have a border in the North Sea and Kent will become a county of lorry parks and traffic jams, whilst the people will endure food shortages and increased prices in supermarkets and many companies will relocate abroad.
You may be well informed but i wonder how accurate is your information ?
What seems to be forgotten in all of this is that Brexit meant many different things to many different people and all the public should be given the opportunity to decide/ vote on the terms of any final agreement.
Thankfully the US has booted out the lunatic Trump and president elect Biden has expressed doubts about any trade deal that would impact on the Northam Ireland agreement, he also sees the advantages in trading relationships with the EU block rather than a "Little Britain."

Quite so important indeed, they are supposed to be negotiations and not confrontation's, unfortunately there is a general lack of the understanding of international diplomacy on the part of the UK representatives.
The UK representatives also have a responsibility to those that voted to remain and who will also have to endure any detrimental effects of bailing out of the EU without a sensible agreement.
All participants in any negotiations need to adopt a conciliatory attitude towards one another then an agreement should be possible based on sensible and reasonable compromise.

Listening to the BBC the lady official from the EU sounded far more sensible and reasonable than our UK representatives are being!

That would seem to make very good sense, it would need the miners/owners to agree on a combined strategy or policy and abide by it , historically though they have usually been more interested in taking one another over, good idea though!

Its a shame what has happened to so many town centres all over, you seem fortunate in that you seem to have some decent retail facilities nearby.
I agree about the M & S share price, I know a few old dears who have held onto it because they were told it was a quality stock, so it was once but unfortunately most of the old quality stocks have suffered over recent years in all sectors.
The rise of the algo driven high speed and leveraged CFD day trading hasn't helped, as we well know how quickly any stock can fall once the panic and innuendo is put about!

Agree absolutely with you both, unfortunately the majority of the general public remain blissfully unaware or don't care about the money printing and debt as long as they can have "Stuff", the politicians like Boris & Farage are only thinking about political popularity and those such as Jacob Rees Mogg about making more personal millions from Brexit , so the money printing will likely just carry on, it may be good for gold or the Cartel may just sell more paper to make even more paper profit!

GOLD PRICES fell even against a weak US Dollar on Monday as Asian and European stock markets rose amid widening hopes for a vaccine-led economic recovery while the UK and EU agreed to a last-gasp extension to Brexit trade talks, writes Atsuko Whitehouse at BullionVault.

Spot gold prices dipped as much as 1.0% to $1820 per ounce, a 2-week low, while the US Dollar Index, which measures the greenback's value against a basket of other currencies, retreated 0.4% back to its lowest since April 2018.

The company is splitting its Nevadan operation off from the Mexican operations. This should happen this month or early in 2021.
I see very much higher gold production in Nevada in 2021 than this year and the Mexican operation greatly benefiting from much higher base metal prices.
The share price does not yet reflect these factors.
An additional advantage: the share is very liquid trading on average 1.2 million shares.

Unfortunately we no longer have a full size M&S in our main high street, it pulled out shortly after the BHS closed down , we are down to one M&S foodhall on a small retail park and all the other M&S food halls are at BP service stations.
Shame that M&S has declined from what it once was , good quality clothes,etc with excellent customer service, all gone now killed off by high street rent business rates, Amazon and other online outlets
Our High Street used to be pedestrianised with direct access to a bus station, but they opened up the high street to cars and closed the bus station and public toilets, although our town centre is really not worth a visit, absolutely filthy, stinks of stale urine, inhabited by alcoholics, druggies, beggars, pick pockets, pimps and unfortunate homeless living in the empty door ways of once fine stores, but the town centre does have a number of cash converters ,betting/bingo shops,charity shops, Greggs/Mc Donalds and overpriced bars, there is also free 20 min parking, but thereafter the parking is very expensive.
So where do we go from here?
