RE: Time for CINE holder to act smart!15 Jul 2021 12:20
I think it's worth a gamble but you have to face reality when looking at the numbers.
2019 - 4.3bn revenue, 200m profit.
2020 - Shut for 9 months, 852m revenue, lost 3 billion.
2021 - Shut for 6 months (so far), revenue could be less than 852m, another year of large losses.
They have huge debts, and no real prospects to reduce those debts.
The "6 month shut" number could be an underestimate. If we go full lockdown again in October, it means the 2021 lockdown could be worse than 2020, so the potential is to lose more than 3 billion and have significantly less than 852m revenue.
There is lots of fear about the seemingly inevitable full lockdown. I personally don't think they'll go back to total lockdown which is why I'd give it a small gamble. Huge risk.
