Philosophy and Cruffs aside , does anyone know the definitive date on the trumped up ( no pun intended ) legal case in the US ? Fully understand it represents a small amount of EQT's current market but all about headline and perception and as someone here stated it could be forcing Billingham and Wood to be in a " wait and see "mode . Be good if we had some other project news pending a decision to do away with the US legal claim .
Liked how the BOD have used the warrants money to pay down some of the debt . Sensible financial and PR move .
Thanks for the link Leo.
I think SZ will take care of itself in the near term and the excitement CB has about the KCB is very encouraging . The future is looking bright over the next 4 months and who knows how much better it will get .
Surprised he has not made more of the fact that 50% of the $3M due from Sandfire is in 370K Sandfire shares which was based upon $5.277 whereas they are currently worth $6.18 per share , so a profit there ! Thats without the bonus element , which would be the icing and cream on the copper cake . Plus our own KCB exploration and drilling - note his comments about the US
Organisations assessment of the KCB as being of world class potential . Those licence acquisitions were a steal .
I am a long term holder of GGP and have seen the share price decimated in weeks . It will come good , eventually , but I see GLR having more growth in the short term as the value of the assets are revealed .
One matter I am not 100% on is the link with JLP on the zinc project . Could someone enlighten me please ?
Not a great day for miners / commodities but a very encouraging day for GLR.
Firstly , well said Bamps .
I have not posted much on this Board as I did not feel there was much to add with all the well informed comments . In fact there was more to take away from reading the useful and helpful information . It has now degenerated into something you don't want to look at . I have looked today because of the SP drop . The last time I looked was around a week ago having posted some positive commentary on the strength of GGP's assets , at the same time stating my disappointment that SD had not purchased some shares as GH had done . Well that provoked some unwarranted " abuse " and patronising and at that point , I thought what is the point , if you cannot express an opinion . So I will look at Paddy's site , plus Bamps and a few others . However, there is no point posting anything challenging or constructive here - the " pack " now rule this Board unfortunately .
To all those following this up with emails , etc , thank you. A lot of time could have been saved with a more detailed RNS .
CB now knows there are people out there watching and perhaps he will reflect on how this arose and avoid any repetition .
I for one have no problem with shareholders being active and looking after their interests whether it be on AIM or the FTSE 350.
If only that had been the case with Carillion , SXX , and others .
So back to topping up !
Westland , bow to your past experience and pain . Can't / won't argue with you have said as I can see exactly what you are saying . Through other investments ( Metal Tiger ) I have a very positive view of both the KCB and the SFR tie up- not of Metal Tiger - BUT if the SZ success is that impactful immediately you have my attention and because I do not know the history , yes there could be a threat to the SP and credibility . My own rules have loss as credibility / confidence in Management as a red flag , so thank you for that heads up .
Odd that we have Interim reports but no presentation of any Final Accts or Report , just some narrative to pacify shareholders .
With two share placings in 2020 and now two CLN interest payments under our belt I wonder what the cash position is ??
It appears this will be the most expensive TEO in the history of mining and in between the saviour ( Habib ) has been demoted with his wife being a few grand better off with the untimely imperative of selling shares . Is this just a smoke and mirrors set up , I am asking myself ? Why , because for the second time I am losing money . I am sure there are others suffering more and longer pain than I have . Does this have a chance of ever giving us value ? The BOD are sitting with the power to issue up to 200M shares in yet another placing deal if the cash runs out . What are they spending it on ??
As I am hitting the key board I am becoming more convinced that I should use the cash elsewhere , eat the second smaller loss , and learn my lesson .
Rant over and not trying to pour cold water over this , just looking back at the history to sense check myself .
Thanks for the clarification on cash holding CO . Lots of underlying positives here , just need to weather this period of quiet .
Hopefully the labs will be back to normal when our drilling programme gets going again and we see some better grades / results to prove this is truly , " the Big One ".
Perhaps what we need is a listed assay lab to invest in , must be earning a fortune at the moment and its not just Ozz.
CE , unfortunately I now have to agree - was not expecting a drop of 8% plus and so yes good opportunity for topping up .
Aside from radio silence on SZ licences / production can see no other reasons for the drop . I still believe the benefits of the SFR deal and KCB exploration will easily outweigh anything SZ does or doesn't do .
Mine too !!
Can't CF find someone to buy them out in one move - its death by a thousand cuts . Without their constant selling we would be sitting well over 30p by now .
Any thoughts on why the SP falling , although most are down - this just seems bigger than most ?
Cant understand the lack of response to communication requests , other than something is being worked upon , good or bad who knows . CB does seem to stretch himself a bit thin and I am hesitant to criticise when he has done such a great deal with Sandfire and the KCB . I am sure it will come good but suspect a few bumps on the way . Still a good buying opportunity if you are not already in .
I can read that it says " signed " . It does not however , give a date . So infer today's date ? So when does the Longstop end ?
Sloppy work on the RNS .
No passive negativity here or mm agenda . Just losing money at the moment and rather suspicious as to how all of a sudden with the end of Feb looming , the rabbit is pulled out of the hat ! Material in the long term , not really . For now , the credibility and professionalism of management can in the main only be judged by the content and quality of what they HAVE to tell us and how they tell us , hence my questioning of a critical fact . Namely when does the twelve month deadline happen ?
If someone knows , fine , that was all I was asking . From the response to my previous post it looks as though none of you know.
Is it me or is there no date of signing of the LPA which triggers the 12 month Longstop Date ?
Also was this the original intention , an LPA with a 12 month completion window , or is it something to pacify the market by avoiding a straight , " there 's a delay / extension" RNS ? That is my take on it , hence the somewhat flat SP , although in fairness doing better than most this morning .
Always some useful Ozzie discussion on the Hot Copper site . General take there is mixed , particularly with the apparent coma the company has fallen into . Most probably the inevitable " covid " delays on assay results .
The HC discussion board earlier in the day was quite positive about the escrow shares being held rather than a deluge of selling.
Come on CB buy a million shares on the back of the SFR deal , you did it with XTract.
Ok , less flippant , put the SFR results link out as an RNS to raise the profile of what is a good deal for GLR .
Not sure people have totally grasped what an attractive opportunity the KCB is and the value of the deal with Sandfire .
Sandfire has been built off the back of one mine in Australia and it won’t last forever .
The perception is that SFR is a one trick pony so it needs the KCB to be successful and producing copper . They may even come after the remaining licences . CB has put us in a very good place and the value of this asset ( SFR shares , future payments and the remaining licences ) alone is worth more than the current SP .
I accept that the front window focus is on the zinc asset / income but that will quickly change when more is revealed about what we have in the KCB.
No problem Castiron . I think the SFR deal and what we have in the KCB will surpass everything else GLR has .
Just hope GLR don't flitter it away over time with the pawning of shares , to pay the bills and fund a series of needless inconsequential investments in junior explorers, as Metal Tiger have done .
Fingers crossed we get a nice tick up in the SP morning .
Great results announced by SFR tonight on ASX . Profits , EPS , dividend and cash all way up . Also T3 copper find substantially increased in tonnage with A4 drilling revealing good results . All bodes well for our holding of SFR shares and remaining licences in KCB .
Previously exited with a handsome profit which the sensible , credible and knowledgable posters on this BB contributed to . I have come back in and currently sit with a not very nice loss but that will turn round in the coming months of 2021 and 2022 . If people doubt that take a look at the very helpful post by Bamps , summarising GGP's assets ( not asset ) and think about the potential positive news flow to come in relation to those assets. I have other gold exploration holdings , none of which I rate as highly as GGP in terms of being low risk , high return. Perhaps not the super returns seen in the last 12 months but nevertheless still high relative to other opportunities that will carry greater risk anyway. Whether you interpret this as a ramp or otherwise really doesn't bother me , sell , hold , do what you want . I am just adding an opinion in support of the many pro GGP posters but at that same time also stating that I am disappointed that the new CEO has not shown more commitment to the belief the long term holders here have , in GGP . Purchasing a decent amount of shares would have helped settle some nerves . GH has shown how it should be done .
If this was any other share with this sort of current SP erosion ,I would have sold up by now-- but this is not just any other share.
Dipp , spot on . Let’s see whether a “ lessons learned “ is offered in the presentation . Really should not have to ask the question , it should be volunteered .
