Did the same, found that even 20 different shares were way too many. Occasionally, found some had unexpectedly doubled or halved. Didn't mind the doubling but the halving was annoying!

The UT trade is over 70% of today's volume, so was thinking it was likely hiding a few big trades in there somewhere. Hence, not surprised to see the 1m trade pop up at 18:45. What to make of it? Don't know tbh ...

After holding for many years, since well before planning, decided to get out a few months back with a loss of about £130k. So glad I did. If the Daily Mail article is true then my loss would have been nearly £270k today!

Unfortunately, without news there is no reason for the price to rise. Likely, it will trend down with the occasional blue day until we have more clarity.

Don't see any problem with CF's position. He's taking a huge risk with a massive slice of his wealth, a risk that he's prepared to accept but a risk that he also considers too great for your average investor. I think many of us take risks with our investments that are acceptable to us but that we would consider too great to want to encourage family and friends to join in.

But how much they've lost (or dare I say it, gained) certainly has an influence on their view.

Deos, be very careful with your averaging down strategy, and all the more so if it's inheritance from your dad that your spending.

Deos, just seen your post about your £500k loss. The three worst shares that I have ever invested in total a loss of £200k, of which £130k is down to Sirius. However, I've more than covered that loss with my investments in other shares. The Sirius thing was always a bit of a gamble. Win some, lose some.

I'm out as well (with almost double your loss chimaera). Bought in years before planning and have held a long time, so not one to panic but my money that remains can be better used elsewhere. Really sad that things have not gone well. Hope it turns around for other LTHs that are still holding.
