Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Thanks Womo...I love re-reading background news whilst we await pivotal news. As someone once said..oil in the ground is oil in the ground till you can get it out (or words to that effect). I am patient and looking longer term so hope that those who have picked up some shares recently are rewarded for their opportunistic purchases. BW MM (formerly RickshawR)
Interesting. They appear to be mining prospectors in rare earths, precious metals and Lithium. The interesting bit was the Llamara area they have highlighted. It appears to be slap bang between our position below Hilaricos and Lithium Chile nearer Ramaditas. I suspect the fact that their samples were cores implies not from Brines. BW MM.

It would be great if we have an update to coincide with this...BW MM
Agree with all the comments below..esp the significance of the ASX listing (in August?) and other milestones before then. Not sure when we will get the results of the injection test...that will get some attention if successful. I think the share price is suffering from the LKE debacle but I agree that it should be used to highlight the many differences mentioned below. BW RR.
Polly...totally agree and am heartened by comments in the LSE chat with Gordon Stein (January). This management has grown in size and experience considerably since then. Steve Kesler is keen on doing things once and doing them right. Aim has lots of bargains around, including CTL, but it will change its mind eventually, almost bedrudginlgy! BW RR.
In principle, this ecosystem will be made up of the companies that produce the
mineral, the academy, scientific-technological centers public and private, with the State having an important role
to comply not only in terms of financing, but especially in the search for knowledge
public, early support for the development of technologies, innovations and ventures, and the orientation
of research and development towards the solution of productive, environmental and/or social challenges. So by
example, lack of knowledge about ecosystems microbiology and its potentials for innovation,
open up the possibility of scientific discoveries in based on saline ecosystems that can be the basis
for future technological developments. 🍷RR

From p10-11...However,it is not clear that this increased supply will be enough to cover the rise in demand, with which, although it is expected that the price does not continue to grow with the same magnitude
than it has in recent years, the price will continuereflecting the strategic value of this mineral.
Chile's position as one of the main producers worldwide opens the opportunity
to advance in technological development upstream in production, with new techniques
extraction (such as for example the extraction direct brine or DLE/R for its acronym in English)
accompanied by sustainable reinjection methods, that ensure the least socio-environmental impact
possible in the territories. These technologies are being developed and tested in various sites,
but have not been fully implemented in industrial form. Promoting them is important for a
environmentally sustainable production, so that it is a requirement to implement them in existing tasks
and an input standard for new projects. Such technologies not only open up the opportunity to
transform Chile into a space for innovation and technological development in the production of lithium,
but also imply the possibility of increasing current production levels without thereby
negatively impact the environment. For it, baselines of the salt flats are required, as well as a
rigorous monitoring and follow-up on the effects of its implementation, in particular on reinjection
and its biogeochemical effects In this development, the State, which has the rights
exclusives on lithium, can play a role not only in terms of regulations and environmental requirements,
but also in the development and piloting of technologies
11National Lithium Strategy-For Chile and its People and in the generation of basic knowledge (models
hydrogeological, for example) that allows to evaluate correctly the performance of these new
extraction modalities. Complementary to the above, the opportunities in
development of knowledge and technology, together with the search for productive chains
and added value associated with this industry offer the possibility of generating a scientific-technological-industrial ecosystem.

Bringing its water optimization to CTL. Very interesting and not picked up elsewhere.
Great discussion here from all views and much appreciated.

Good debate and interesting points brought up regarding holding size/biases/share price downtrend etc...
This is just my perspective...Personally, I have always felt that two figures were relevant to my holding in any company. Firstly the percentage of my portfolio I allocate to that company and secondly the average price paid. I may have a million shares or a thousand, but its relevance is based upon the those two figures.
Regarding the current Zephyr share price...it is now around my average price, which I was not expecting but could not rule out due to the factors of sector/market/commodity pricing/company specific issues. But this was the price I was happy to average at around the time of the drilling of the state 16-2. What has happened since that period, companywise has (IMHO) added both to the current and potential value of my investment.

Well spotted Raisingdonuts and thanks for posting. Seems to have been missed/unavailable to many and came out at time of Boric' announcement so overlooked. I always view any GS articles with healthy skepticism but this seems well-researched and worthy of a re-read over this long weekend.
Hope you don't mind, I shared the link on our telegram site.

Have watched this and started noting key parts but FWIW this is a must listen discussion between Lucho Saenz, Paula Rojas and Daniel Weinstein. The latter giving a lawyers take on the recent announcement...VERY good for CTL. It is well worth the time! Highlights so far...minutes 12.39 , 17m, 22, but esp 22.35. "Most projects in Chile (by number not by size) will not be strategic and therefore the govt will be a minority stakeholder. That is very interesting as it opens a lot of doors for companies that are exploring for Li. For the first time in decades there is a clear path. This strategy is GOOD news for small companies that want to operate in Chile". CTL namedropped at 15m! BW MM ??
Polly...thanks for that.
A good article that has CTL's technology and potential running through it without a mention. Still awaiting results from Llamara soon, one of many highlights coming up. A good price right now, topped up. BW RR
2D seismic plannned 2h23 on Rissana.
EPC requested.
FDP being finalised (prior to award of Production concession).
FID either early in 2023 or in first six months...by end June then.
2 years thereafter to 1st gas June 2025.
JMW (very) optimistically said end 24/early 25.
Just my opinion but I feel there is progress from the significant gas find of one year ago.

I was at this website to listen to a (very interesting) podcast from Battery Gigafactories Europe from Simon Moores...see below.
"Europe did lots of things well from 2017 onwards, they founded the battery alliance which got together industry, finance and politics. They got the discussion going early which got gigafactories designed and built, quite a few of them. Yet that supply chain coherence hasn't really followed."

I will be the first to admit I didn't think the recent share price drop was warranted given the cashflows and acreage acquired over the last year. But then again there are many other O&G juniors with the same issue. I am sure we all know what it's like to be 'under water' with a share and have to decide if averaging down is the correct call. Personally I don't expect to see new ath's (post Rose) until we are producing from the Paradox and the roadmap to further production can be drawn with more conviction. This may be soon but I am happy to sit it out as long as the RNS's continue to show development of the asset, prudent use of cashflow and continued strong management.
